Audi style LED... what do you think?

i'm not very happy with these led's i stuck it thru with what i had, and after i install the first headlight's led's the first three in succession go out so i'm just gonna get a ribbon of led's and epoxy over them.

They are very fragile and the adhesive sucks. I had to put some dots of hot glue to be sure that they would stay on.

I plan to have the LEDs in the headlights always running and they will also flash with the blinkers when I turn the blinkers on. I also plan to have a switch to turn them off if I ever need. Here is my wiring diagram that I plan to use with a one throw one pull relay.

you could just put a relay on each side wiring it to be on when not blinking.

Shawn, be creative on how you would like to do this and take your time. They make small 3mm wide, 12" and 18" long directional LED strips which is what I used. You can get them from Pep Boys or Kragen and they are made by Pilot. As you can see in my pic, bc they are directional LEDs I needed to run the wires in different locations on either side. The right side wires are in the top right corner, while the left side wires are in middle right also at the end of the strip. You could also use individual LEDs but that would be a little more tricky to do. Do a little research about relays and what exactly you want your lights to do, if you want to tackle the project let me know if I can help.

I also tried putting the strips in different locations, including along the bottom, but the top looked the best. The curves of the bottom made it look a little unnatural/christmassy .

I think you should stick l.e.d.s everywere. Hell put them up your ass and then it will glow like an audi to. Freakin' circus wagons. Thats like a civic trying to look like a Mustang or somthing. Creative. Maybe. But a waste of time in my opinion. Remember people! Function...Not Fashion! You may as well go shoe shopping with your old lady and try on dresses with her! lol! Or just go out and buy an audi if you like the damn lights so much.

Such a LED Brow idea is not so bad as to me and nice to some in some way but still looks little like "I don't know what else to mod"

i love this! Im such an LED freak! I have about 400-500 or so of those bad boys in my truck right now! Those strips look like they would have saved me alot (ALOT) of time... Im looking at putting some on the lightning! Thanks for the inspiration guys and i personally love them! It's a shame they don't offer the Pilots in a different color
