well i am taking her out today on a nice 26klm twisty part called the old road.

here is a vid of me scrubbing in my new tyres following a mate, going to do this same road as we go there often and i can directly compare how she handles and report back. stay tuned loki.

2hy... yeah i was trying for a 17" as well so i could use the pirelli that is used on the diavel, but no go if you want to stay standard look.

loki... i had to get the rim done in the US. no one would do it here or here with confidence.

Two guns, it looks great! Are you going with a wider front? 130? Keep us posted on how it rides!

nah... i am keeping the 120 front. and after my ride just now, i couldnt be more happy.

the bike feels a little heavier, but in no way did it slow up the turn in or exit. the video above shows my chasing a mate previously. today i did that same road. mostly 45klmh bends and i average sat on 100klmh. sweet as, and if anything felt almost as normal as before. the key i think too is running the Scg chock to bring the bike back to correct geometry.

cant wait to have the tyres scrubbed in and a nice sunny day.

now just gotta fix my neutral switch that i think i corrupted when trying to remove hte front pulley, and work out why my engine light is deciding to come on after about 10minutes of riding. i suspect it may have something to do with the cable i cut! :(

Cool vid! And it is obvious that your tire had no adverse affects on handling! Sweet! [up]

yeah rhino, i dont think my fan is coming on.

anybody ideas/info on how i check that? it has an ebr ecm?

Check the connector first--then test your fan (direct to battery). After that, look for an oil leak from the rocker cover that might have shorted the fan. But I think, given your recent work back there, that maybe something was disconnected or somehow interfering/shorting/pinched.

ok... so i checked my fan and i think its fine.

but after asking some other questions on our local forum i created a 'check stick'

and

and after talking to pete, and copying some very good information provided by rays from a local forum...

i have found out my fault codes.

27 and 34.

so 27 is the fact my neutral switch input circuit is low. anyone know what that means exactly. i know the light is staying on, and i reckon i have knocked the switch or something while trying ot get the front damn pulley off.

and 34 is to do with my idle air control circuit. anybody info re that?

thinking about it more... i think the 34 code is older as i had some air mix issues a few weeks back. and the bike stores history for 50 starts, and it hasnt been 50 starts yet, so i reckon my issue is hte neutral switch.

ive taken her out for a good spin now and am impressed... not quite as fast as the standard, but i am happy with her ability and performance. even more so cause i ahve a nice well set up second buell if i really want to go 100%.

looking forward to our local buell muster to jindabyne now. get to play along side some other buellers.

for anyone who wants a little fun and difference, and rides their buell to say 80-85% then this conversion is fine to do. you wouldnt do it if you are track day junkie... but you can still get a knee down. and certainly beats something like a cruiser for performance and looks and will smack a diaval anyday for appearacne and conversation.

Looks awesome! Congrats on the conversion. Did you get the bolts and chain to fir or did you have to grind away the swing arm like i mentioned?

about a 5mm grind between the guard mounts on the swing arm and around where the bolts are. all good though.

last night at one of our local meets...

^^^ bad ass picture! I love the Diavel. Great bike to compare tire size too. To bad we dont have the 180 hp that those have :/

just went on another 2000klm ride... cant say that i regret the conversion. sure its not quite as sharp as my fellow bueller who i was chasing, but its got the overall package down neat.
