Finally back on a Buell now after a lengthy time without. I've been on here for years as His_and_Her_Buells but now I'm divorced and the Ex sold hers, hence the new member name (just couldn't get myself to continue using the old name). Picked up an 03 XB9R with 19k miles, Jardine (I'll swap that out at first chance), Twin Tune, HIDs, brand new rear tire, never been lay over. The only bad is no keys or ignition lock cylinder. Still able to ride, just a pain to fill up with gas. Anyway, now that I'm a proud Buell owner again I plan on being on here a lot. And don't let the the 2nd Lt rank let you think I'm a newbie, my rank as His_and_Her_Buells is Major General.

glad to have you back on the saddle again:D locksmith can have a set of keys for you in about an hour if you remove the ignition and take it in or a mobile unit make it on the spot...roughly 40 bucks

Btw...pics or it didn't happen:D

Ignition is missing so I need a new one. ok ,ok, here's proof.

[up], pinwall cycles on ebay has a few ignitions without keys for cheap, I bought one from a forum member recently and had a set of keys made for 40 bucks
is that a zero gravity double bubble windscreen, how do you like it?

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes Zero Gravity. No real chance to evaluate it yet. Looks good though
But what's the story behind no ignition or keys?
The guy I bought it from is going through a divorce and is stationed in florida (bike and wife in Alabama). She through away the keys and ripped off the emblems. The sellers dad recovered the bike before she could do more damage. Not sure how the ignition was lost but it was taken off to run it.

Welcome back to the land of the free, I've got a striped chalked up to ignorance as well. Enjoy the extra time on the bike, it's the only thing that'll make you feel better other than beer and anything else you can throw on the back on a Friday night. ;)
