Wile on my way to work this morning i stopped to get some gas. when done i went to fire my 1125 back up and finish my ride to work but the batter did not have anough charge to turn over the engine.. has anyone els had this problem? I think my battery is bad. i havent had a chance to test it yet. im still at work (after swallowing my pride and calling a friend for a ride) i had to leave it there at the gas station on base.

Anyone have any other ideas what it may be?

2008 or 2009.
if it's a 2009 your stator likely died.
should be coverd under your 2 year unlimited milage warrenty.
if it's a 2008 could be battery

Charge your battery, make sure its complete charged. Wait about an hour to check voltage on the battery, because it will be lower, correct voltage about 12.5 to 13.5. If it's above 12.5 its not your battery. Start bike the voltage drops below12.2 rev engine to 4, 5 grand if it doesn't increase its stator or regulator. The bike needs above12.5 to run. One it going out, change both because the other will go out soon after.

The stator/regulator issues are becoming more common on 09's than the weeping clutch. I have heard that HD has an upgraded stator. A few 09 owners have tried upgrading the stator at Custom Rewind to the tune of about $100. They use a more heat resistant coating on the windings. People have also tried Mosfet R/R's and Compufire's. I still have several years of warranty left and I am waiting to see the long term outcome of these changes. I have been through one V/R and stator, and it appears my second stator is dying. While riding with the revs up my electrical system will not charge above 13.5 V.

after the shop looking at it for a day and the info i gave them, i was told it was the fuel pump...... they told me its a common issue. but i cant find anything online about this being an issue. not to mention i cant figure out how the hell the fuel pump is going to cause the breaker to pop every time either. and a three week wait............. Im in Myrtle Beach SC for my old lady's B day...... and i had to drive here in a ranger!

me thinks they are padding the bill because its a military town......
would not be the first time business in Jacksonville NC has done it. we have places banned for marines because they are crooked. Or maybe im just mad and cant find it online because all i see is red right now.

I do remember seeing some things online about fuel pump issues, but it still doesnt sound like it from the issues you are stating.

Yes the 1125s have had issues with Stators dieing before the 5000miles is on the odom/reading.The regulators also,do a simple voltage check first to get you in the area for what to do next.Make sure to do a load check on the battery, if the battery is more than 2.5 years old and you've killed it I would replace it for piece of mind.AFTER you have diagnosed the problem.post up when can.*Jimi

i vote RR too. just changed it on my daytona. had the same problem as you. stopped for gas...and never got going again.
