Dont want to do this but I feel this is my only option left. On 07-09-2010, I made a $500 payment for a set of equal length headers from Tyler/Bajabomber87. Given the nature of the product it was expected that it would take a while to Baja to fabricate and design my headers. He was good at keeping me up to date in the beginning, but now its been two months since I have heard from him. I have left numerous emails, texts and voice messages and have had zero luck getting a response [confused]. I hate to think that a fellow Bueller would F*** me over, but its starting to look that way from my perspective. The crazy part is he is still looking for new customers, so for now I recommend steering clear form this fella. Its probably foolish of me, but I would still like to give him the benefit of the doubt, even though that's kinda how I got into this mess. lol

Not trying to badmouth him, I just want my headers or my money, and I think two months of unanswered phone calls, texts, and emails is a cause of concern.

Wow that sucks! The bad part of doing business over the internet with someone that doesn't have a real shop or way to remedy it. Did you pay by Visa or PayPal?

Two months is a long time regardless of whats going on at his end. The ****** part is paypal only covers you for 45 days so I cant use the resolution center to get reimbursed.

Sort of getting the shaft from CJ Dedign as well, ordered two air box covers a month ago and only got one, constantly says he is out of town and going to get on it asap.

Guess when it comes to shipping stuff I like to have it in the mail the next possible day. I want guys to have their gear as fast as I would want it and I always want it yesterday so figure I can do my beat to get things done pronto.

At least your guy is talking, I'm in the dark and out 500 bucks.

My bet is he took your money, and now doesn't have enough scratch to pay for the part he's committed to making for you. I'll bet you'll be out that money for a long time to come.

I had the same issue with a custom drum kit I ordered a little over a year ago. I dropped $3500 and kept getting the runaround for about 8 months. When it finally came, it wasn't even worth it anymore. Now I'll never give someone more than a small deposit for any custom piece. The most reputable fabricators of any product follow that, anyway.

I don't know Tyler that well, but what I do know is that it's probably best not to wait for him to take care of things for you. I would file with small claims, collect all your evidence, and have a summons handed to him. The harder you chase it, the less likely it is you're going to get your money back. I'd put it into the hands of an agency that actually has the capability of enforcing some form of consequences.

Octo,

your probably right about the funds, but what I dont get is why he fabricated a different set of headers and put them up for sale after he took my order. I still have all of my emails from the start as well as invoices, and texts. I really don't want to have to go through all that but its starting to look like thats what need to be done.

I wouldn't even waste my time waiting on it, bud. There's not a lot that you can personally do from where you live.

If you really want to give him the benefit of the doubt, then I'd get him to sign a notarized contract stating that he will deliver either product or funds by a certain date. At least that way there won't be any time wasted in court when he fails to do either. Not that there would be anyway, but you know, the justice system has a lot of room for ******** these days. Never hurts to further back your ass up.

Seriously, though, just write him a letter letting him know that you're pursuing legal recourse, you've notified all the Buell boards about his business practices, and you will only stop the legal process upon delivery of either funds or product. Send it certified mail so you have proof of it's delivery. You will most likely be able to strongarm him into responding, given that filing a case in your local small claims court will require him to travel down to your neck of the woods or risk a failure to appear. That's not even considering the likelihood of a judgment against him for your court costs, your time, the whole of the $500, and some sort of interest on the payment.

My guess is that he fabbed those headers after he took your payment because they had the largest profit on them. Building headers out of mild steel leaves a LOT of room for money-making. He probably took your money, spent it, built something he could get some funds from, and then promptly mismanaged it again. He's a youngin', and hasn't learned the value of a dollar yet.

There is absolutely no excuse for 2 mounths of no contact regarding an order as far as I'm concerned. It takes literaly seconds to pick up the phone and make a call or send an email to let a customer know that their order might take a little longer than expected. Like theoctopus said, your money is probably long gone and my guess is that your product is not on its way to you. If we were talking a week or two I'd say give the guy a chance to make it right, but at 2 months, there is no possible way he's planning to make things right. I'd do what I needed to do to at least attempt at getting my money back. Thanks for posting this.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you. Having gone through this process before, I know how much it sucks.

Legal actions buddy!

Haven't even seen him post in a while. Nor have i seen an reviews of his products so yup small claims would be your next step. I wouldn't wait any longer.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help/advice. Looks like small claims it is, suck shat it had to go this rout.
