It was a balmy 28 degrees outside today. So I decided to do a drive by video for everyone. Bike is an 05 xb9 with xb9 header, voodoo ld internal elbow muffler with dual outlets. The bike needs a bit of tuning as it is still tuned for another muffler that I had on the bike. Plus my bike really hates the cold for some reason. Or is it me that really hates the cold?? lol
hey tattoo72,dig the sound of the ld,and when i get the can from stikemup,i will be sending it to you,if i am using my stock xb9 headers should i wrap them? and if i go with a set of 12's(if i can find any) will i notice a differance in uaeable hp/tq?
It is always a good idea to wrap your headers. It has been proven time and time again to help make hp. Plus there are the added benefits of keeping your right leg cool, and just looks bad ass! When runnin the 12 headers there is a noticable increase in the mid and upper rpm ranges.
Really! I didn't read anywhere that he was there yet with the XB's. I knew for the 1125, but that's some very good news right there. I might get a cable, learn a bit about tuning and buy a map from Xopti
Hey Tattoo, is there a difference in performance between a header wrap and ceramic coating? Also are you working on a pipe for the 1125? If so when could it be expected?
There isn't much difference in performance if...you ceramic coat the inside and outside of the headers. I prefer the wrap for a few different reasons.
1. You do not have to remove the header to have it done.
2. You can remove it and go back to stock easily if you don't like it.
3. It is alot cheaper than coating.
4. To me it just looks bad ass.
Sorry but there are no plans for an 1125 muffler at this time.
You doing a dual outlet, front and back? From the way your Voodoo cans are done, where will the exhaust be sent through the baffles to produce hp/tq ? You posted the pic,I'm just asking ,you started it.
It will be a single 2-1/4" front exit. I should have it done in the next couple days. Then if the weather holds out and it doesn't snow again i'll be able to do some testing. One more pic.
