So first I noticed the fuel pump sounded a little off the first time I tried starting the bike and it wouldnt kick over. Second go around pushing the button it starts right up. The as Im driving I would accelerate and if I let off the throttle or came to a stop sometimes the engine would stop and electronics would stay on. Then I was driving down the highway yesterday and everything just turned off as I was driving. When I went to turn it the dash lights were very dim and all I heard was a clicking noise coming from the front by the lights/ecm/fuse boxes... Nothing would work and then finally after like 30min of just sitting there it would all start up again and ride fine... just to repeat the same thing... took me 3 hours to get home on a 10 mile trip... PLEEEASE HELP!!!

Check grounds, Undo them, scrub the contact points with a wire brush or similar. Then check the battery. Take it to an autoparts store and let them run a test on it.

Battery is brand new li-ion batter. not to stator and vr

Ill check the grounds, it was running great for almost a month so would they just now start acting up?

and sdu? tps maybe? if so yes... but no idea what the sdu is

If you have ECMspy, check to see if the "cutoff in decel" box is checked. If it is, uncheck it. That could be part of the problem. If the Li-ion battery is a home brew, you might have gotten a bad cell or might have cooked one of the cells. Check your voltage on the battery when it dies, if you can get a tester onto the battery posts or the charging ports for your trickle charger. That would do what you have described. Some places to start.

Check the points where the subframe meets the main frame. It needs to be bare metal since the grounds go to the subframe and that has to ground to something. I know u just powdercoated your bike. I had the same problem after I painted mine. These bikes do all sorts of crazy things with bad grounds

Ill be checking my ground today hopefully thatll fix it... also i dont remember if i sanded down the powdercoated parts that connect to the frame =/ thats probably it lol

So I took the tail off and ground down the parts and took her for a spin.. hopefully its fixed. I didnt notice any weird things going on so fingers crossed =)

Good luck! FYI: There's been a black/red and a yellow firebolt running around post. Black one around 82nd CAB and the yellow one around the housing area off of Honeycutt and Longstreet. I now officially want yellow plastics!
