Brake light not working need help

Hey guys ive checked other threads and no one has my exact problems!!! lmao


so i ordered the buell led rearl light for my 2008 xb12r i cut the male connector off the new light and wired in new flat male connectors so that i could just reconnect it to the factory housing..... when i reconnected the new light i noticed the brake light did not work....just the running light quickly put the old assembly and light back on to check to see if the new light was the problem and found out it was not.... if I wire it stock the running light comes on and if I flip the wires around just the brake light comes on can any one help me with this its confusing the hell out of me.

ohhh yeah and its both front and rear brake that wont work

you're missing a connection somewhere, find the wiring diagrams in the manual and if you cant figure it out post pictures of your connections

I'm pretty sure your running light and brake light wires are switched. If they aren't wired correctly, they will do that.
