luckily my buddy who has been building rods and bikes for decades will be over seeing me as i stumble through both of my builds. i actually found a part on speed of color or trojan horse i forget which one that is a bracket made specifically for putting the XB tail on the CR, looks like they just mount the lower part as is and the bracket spans the gap on the top. and the seat hides it all and lines up perfect. but it was like 200 euro's so 300ish bucks? F That price.

Glad you got it sorted out Texas. I'd be interested to see what you did on the left side for a bracket.

Nuage, just watch that trojan kit. they specifically say its not for 2up.
I made a similar setup to theirs but used steel brackets for strength. I mounted a uly tail though. While I dont ride two up, I do have hard bags which I use quite often. I like the look of the uly tail, and the comfort is unrivaled.
Here is how I did it.
I cut the right side completely off and made a offset bent steel bracket. The holes dont line up, you can widen it, but IMO weakens the subframe.
The left side I machined a offset bracket to mount up. I used the one existing hole, and drilled another as a mounting point.
I wanted mine to be bullet proof so I probably went overboard. But I didnt want to worry about it. I have a couple thousand miles on mine now with no issues at all.
Just giving you some more ideas.

J, nice bracket but I took alot of shortcuts, lol. I kinda cheated. I did routing of wires the same but regulator is down by shock mount instead of lengthening the wiring. I used 10" threaded rod and ran completely across top mount to secure top mounts.

Its strong enough to hold me but gonna look into strengthing it on inside of rails to hold 2 people.

I finally painted tailsection and forks after replacing fork oil seals. I have the bellypan and passenger seat cover also, but need to install them. I will update pics in next few days.

These are updated pics of my 1125. I still need to install the EBRacing bellypan but the forks are now black and tailsection was painted 'diamond blue' like the frame. Im pretty happy with my results. I get several compliments from many...

Im just curious if any 'buellers' out there could maybe give me some offers on this bike if it were for sale. Those of you replying please give a 'reasonable quote' please. If you have followed the progress of everything I have done to bike, you could understand the work i've done. Im just curious incase I decide to put it up for sale. I bought it in 2008 brand new from the Laredo HD/Buell and have all the paperwork on all repairs and extras. I added up receipts the other day and came up to over $10k. Bike was $15k and I know noone will offer $25k. All offers will be respected as long as they are reasonable and honest. I brief 'reasoning behind your quote' would be cool also. Thanks to all my fellow Buellers...

How hard was the front-end swap? I have been thinking very hard about swapping out my R front end for a CR front end...

CR swap was easy. Just go to HD/Buell dealer and get headlight, top tripletree clamp, ignition key kit (R key ignition is totally different and mounts different to lock handlebars-get kit for ignition, fuel, and tailsection locks so new ignition key opens everything instead of having 2 separate keys for everything), the CR mirrors, and I think the little front fairing. Oh, and the clubman handlebars and a new CR clutch cable. The R brake cable still fits fine. Email me at [email protected] if needed and I can help you.

Thanks alot. It has been a nightmare getting it to where it is but MANY people love it and say its like nothing they have ever seen. Some have confused it with the Kawasaki B-King and some say its some custom Yamaha street fighter and I simply reply, 'Its a Buell, an American Sportbike'. Most people reply they have never heard of them and think its some kind of Japanese knock-off.

Hah! Sounds great. Looks awesome. all of the CF brings everything together. the blue wheels/frame/subframe looks great!

^ I was saying that when people don't know what it is, that's great. Sounds funny. Not talking about the exhaust :/

haha this is great. There IS a video of it on youtube, even though ATFII wasn't referring to that. I will check it out at home tonight.

[up][up][up] Dude holy S*** that thing was flying! wha gear did u start in?!?! good lord! What's done to the bike other than exhaust? that was moving!

EBRacing exhaust-(yep that $1800.00 one on www.EBRacing.com), the K&N airfilter, EBRacing ECM, and 93 octane fuel.... Thats it...My only problem is takeoff from line is very slow and cautious because the frontend lifts off ground 6" every launch (watch the headlights on every video) so I have to 'baby it' a bit. I could be under 10 seconds if i had wheelie bars installed.

Man. I have never really got on my 1125R from a stop, but good god. I feel like I might as well have watching that. Great bike. How comfortable is the seat by the way? One of my justifications for wanting a 25R just like yours is because the XBS seat is more comfortable; is that true?

Yes, but the conversion is EXTREMELY difficult. I cannot have 2 people at all on bike because the entire tail section is only fastened at 3 points-the 2 bottom mounts on side rails and really a bad fasten point on top right mount of seat rail.

If you notice, the right rail is attached to shock mount and the left mount is basically 'floating'. I used a threaded rod though shock mount and attached both rails on top mounts but believe me, its not strong enough for 2 people. When I ride, I ride very hard and really 'hang'off bike more than ride it,lol. But yes, the seat is off a XB12SCG and you really 'melt' into it. Im very happy with it....
