@shotgun: I've found my uly struggles to go past 120 (not that I try often) I think it's just the added weight and lack of aerodynamics from the shape of a uly, the saddle bags, and even the wide tall riding position. But I assure you if you're crazy enough to tuck in and hold the throttle open long enough they'll go just as fast as any other 12 buell.

Except tone's, unless you've got a buddy with a Ferrari.

all 12's regardless of model have the same gearing.

I think it's like 150 something, but they won't go that fast. At least I've never heard of anyone legit hitting the limiter in 5th.
I have no pics,videos,gps data,or really proof of any kind. But I have twice (on a closed corse ) had the uly @140. Both times were (not joking)with a tail wind and slightly down hill.

At what speed does the rev limiter cut out a 09 XB12R?, Took the bike up to 120 and still felt like it had more!

Up in CO I always ran out of road or nads before I hit it on my 07, but it seemed like it would be good for at least 130? Mine would get to around 120 fast, then kinda just go flat like it was really working hard for every rpm after that. My 9 by contrast would smack the rev limiter in 5th almost effortlessly.

There is some nice Uly's for cheap- I really want one. I missed a 25th ann. with 7701 miles it had a factory redline of 7150- I have never heard of that before.

To the ney sayers of the 150 mark. I've taken my stock 12r to 155 between Vegas and Parump and speed was double checked on my buddies brand new gsxr 1000 pacing me the whole way. Yes your on the limiter, yes its hard on bike and neck, but bike is rock solid at that speed.

I've gotten to 120+ before and it was still pulling strong on my XB12 but haven't pushed it to its full capabilities. I wonder if anyone who has tracked it has any input on how fast it went in straights.

I've done 135-140 for a couple miles there was nothing left

+1 on what's above. Nothing left once you hit that speed. I was WOT and there was just nothing left.

I've hit 135 and she seemed to have some more when I let off but it wasn't like no load or drag in the video. The other vids on the YouTube Chanel had the bike on the stands wile running. I'm assuming the video was taken the same way considering how smooth the video was and that it accelerated to rev limit like it had 50 extra HP.

140 indicated yesterday on the 07 XB12r. Definitely recommend an upgraded windscreen. 140 with sport touring screen felt more comfortable than 120 with stock screen.

I've noticed that the speedo is a few mph faster than actual speed... At least according to the radar trailers parked along the street. 60 mph on speedo was roughly 55mph on the trailer.
