2008 Buell Lightning for sale - original owner - $4000

Bike is in great condition, no accidents. Has 6665 miles on it, all of which I put on. It's a 25th anniversary edition with the transparent orange engine cover and removable back seat saddle bag. I've kept up with all of the required / routine maintenance - I've just become so busy with work and travel that I haven't had a chance to ride and I feel badly letting it sit in the garage. Asking $4000 OBO.

Looks like that dealer finally made the choice to dump old inventory.
Still the deal of the century... I'd cry after sliding a Panigale 1299 over the chicane and into the gravel, but $6500 for an RX only makes it that much more fun. Thats a lot of tire and gas money!

Anyone know how the certificate of origin works as it applies to model years? You see 2014-15-16 model year bikes, and I was wondering if they just get the model year changed when its titled for the first time?
I had a trailer guy explain it, but didn't know how it works with motor vehicles.

This is the Scg model which means it has the lowered suspension and contoured seat for better center of gravity. Truly one of the funnest bikes you'll ever ride, this thing is a torque monster. Bike has never been laid down or in an accident. Only used Mobil V-twin synthetic for engine and crankcase. NO TEST RIDES UNLESS CASH IN-HAND!!!

This is an extremely clean 2014 EBR 1190SX that has been thoughtfully upgraded with quality parts and everything works exactly as it should. This motorcycle has never been dropped, scratched, dented or abused in any way and I would not hesitate to ride it anywhere. The upgrades include an unlocked OEM electronic control module (ECM) along with a slightly larger rear sprocket that greatly improves around town operation. This motorcycle has a fairly advanced fuel injection system along with traction control and the ECM allows every parameter to be adjusted including calibrating the gear indicator and traction control to the larger sprocket. Additionally, the motorcycle has high quality bar end mirrors, a tail tidy and smaller turn signals. All original parts are included with the sale and additional maintenance items such as oil filters and the Pit Bull stand could be negotiated as well. This motorcycle currently has 2366 miles and has a clear title in my name. I am only selling to move into something conducive to carrying the kids around.

yeah i thought it was kinda funny the blue frame bike (that i assume is actually a 08) is listed as a 09 and black frame ( should be a 09) is listed as a 08???:confused:

My 09 has a black Frame and white plastics and blue rims. Nice color combo, but strange, you would think it would be a blue frame with blue rims. ......love the white plastics though
