But by the time you add in the stator ($220), R/R ($150) and battery ($100), and the crank locking tool ($75), that puts the price at $3350 before you can even hear it run.
Of course, for a new owner while one was in there, you'd want to do the EBR oiling rotor ($445) as this likely caused the above problem in the first place. Now we're up to $3800.
At that mileage, and since you have it partially apart, one would probably want to do a valve adjustment/inspection and check/replace the timing chain guides. ($200-300 ???)
And if its been sitting for awhile (a year or so according to the ad), the water pump seal probably needs to be replaced... and while you're there, you may as well replace the clutch slave with the Oberon unit ($150)
So, you'd be over $4000 invested to get it sorted, rolling the dice at every turn of the way.
