Buying a used Ulysses

Hi All, I am considering buying a good used Ulysses and have told that the later year models such as 2009/2010 are signicantly 'better' than the earlier ones such as 2005/2006. Is there any truth is this please, or are the later year models basically the same as the earlier year models? Thanks in advance for any feedback and/or advice. Rob

quite a few improvements thru the years such as wheel bearings, 3rd wheel bearing in rear hub added, cam cover changed, DFI improved in 2008, front fender changed as running production change, ZTL2 front brake system, non-tuneable closed loop ECM starting 2008, some nice running production improvement changes thru the years but i have to say that having owned and ridden both my 2007 Uly and a friends' 2009 i never noticed much difference between those years. all Ulys are great bikes if they've been properly maintained and ridden reasonably. stay away from one that's been hammered into submission. they won't take that type of punishment without eventually falling apart.

cob: forgot to mention that there is the X model and the XT model. the XT has factory hard luggage and worth several hundred bucks more though you can add soft luggage to an X model such as mine for not much money.
