Cooter, I love the pic of the Suzuki. I have a 500 titan, year unknown, sitting complete in a shed out back. Found it sitting against a light post with a "free" sign on it. Gonna get it running one of these days. Have you ever seen the race bodywork that Airtech sells for these old bikes? For $1000 or so They look awesome, and with a bit of minor tuning ( pipes and an easy blueprint job on the barrels and such they can make in the area of a reliable 50-60 hp. Stripped down they can come in around 350 lb or less. Pretty cheap fun I think. I've got old Gpz 750 suspension, wheels, brakes, swingarm and stuff I want to throw at it. One of these days, ya know. :D

sinikl, A GP bike ( even a silly little 125 ) doesn't give you a little nudge in the small of your back, it's kinda like wait for it.....Wham! it's go time! The key was to try and keep it in the powerband all the time, VERY tight, like 9500 to 11000 RPM. Slipping the clutch helped out a bit but man, they'd bite ya quick if ya gave it a chance. Never got the chance to run a 250 GP bike, one of the biggest regrets of my life. Couldn't afford to move up. Oh well, all in the past. This is the biggest reason I bought my Buell, the handling. Never had it to the track, ( crash my baby? are you nuts? ) but I know it would be a weapon.

Racepro, A 500 Titan with decent suspension could be a ridiculous amount of fun, if you enjoy the huge adrenaline rush just before inevitable death. Does your butler carry your gigantic balls on a sterling silver tray? Oh, and theres lots of neat old videos of 250GP bikes you can get on the 'net, just google "crashing":eagerness:

I broke my leg on a go cart that some crack head built. It had a tuned Kawi 750 triple on the back. BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Fun, scared, saw Elvis shaking his head at me in disapproval, then tire smoke, spinning, concrete tube, pain, and a 450 pound jet black pig (that was an a-hole) tried to eat me :crushed: Some days are better than others.
