and what do you think?

I'm not crazy about the red , i think it looks good as it is now. It reminds me of the graphics on a Lamborghini Gallardo they have at Lamborghini Miami. No harm in making a unique bike look more unique.

Have you thought about regular silver ceramic?
I think, but may be wrong, that all ceramic coatings are silver, but are just painted over with high heat paint.

I prefer the before pic (pic #2). I've only seen the ceramic in silver, chrome like silver, titanium (goldish), dark blue (very simular to Diamond Blue on the 1125), Navy Blue, and Black.

Never seen red just the mentioned above colors, you could do a header wrap with red heat paint

yeah they were for racing over the last season but got used for street due to my conflicting work schedule . :(

I like the red it has a classic feel to it. Black , white, and red accents like the old custom rat rods and hot rods.

I was thinking about doing my headers in red. I've seen a couple tubers with blue headers and I've always loved the look. I wrapped my headers in red masking tape just to see how it looked. I liked it, but I hate how skinny the xb9 headers are, and don't really feel like it would look as good on my bike. Someday if I trade it in for an xb12 I'll definitely consider getting it done. Either way, here's a picture just to give you a good idea how they look...

I say wrap it ;)

Looks bigger, and You can always change it up since you are playing it safe and wont have the long term commitment.

I have used the Duplicolor caliper paint kit on car calipers, with good results. The paint is durable and stays bright and glossy. It is a brush-on paint, and can be done without disconnecting the hose, if you are careful. It is available at many auto parts stores.

yeah i think i've decided since my engine teardown is due, my headers are going to be wrapped, the primary powdercoated along with the brake calipers and rear pulley. Man, i am going to feel like **** if i wreck this thing. It's my baby!

Jet Hot coatings quoted me $275 for header and muffler ceramic coated flat black and shipped both ways. Razman

Look around for a local ceramic coating shop.

For the 2000deg black ceramic:

I payed $40 for my muffler and he said the header would be $30 since it would have less labor not being painted.
