I have a 650r ninja. It's kinda comfortable. But I'm wanting to buy a firebolt. Does anyone have a comfortable firebolt? The three I have rode have been o.k. but not as comfy as the ninja. What can one do to make a firebolt comfy? Also if anyone is selling a firebolt or possibly a lightning in the lower half of AL or northern part of FL or the south west side of GA, let me know. Thanks, Tony.

Its ok... im 6'2" and i feel like the seats forces a lot of weight on my arms. More of a forward riding position for sure. Buell drops and heandle bars risers could help kepp the riding position more upright. Both of which i have yet to do cause i like the look of my bike haha

Tony, I have a Ninja 650 and a Firebolt. The Ninja is a bit more comfortable but I like the feel and control of the Firebolt's riding position. Comfort depends on the ergonomics of the bike (seat position, angle of knees, etc) but also the rider's height, weight, physical build, etc. I mostly use the Ninja as my daily ride back and forth to work. The Firebolt is my fun weekend ride, so I do have more saddle time with the Ninja. Well, I decided to retrofit the Ninja with HID lighting and the proper projector lenses. It turned out to be a big job and the bike was apart for almost two weeks. While I had the fairings off, I found a leak from the water pump housing, so right now it's at the dealer getting fixed under warranty. Anyway, I've been riding the Firebolt exclusively for a couple of weeks now. Here's the funny thing: it feels comfortable now. I used to get a neck ache if I rode it too long (what can I say, I'm middle age-ish) but not anymore. I did put the dropped pegs on it when I got it. My legs are long so they did help. I recently bought the raised handle bars from American Sport Bike, but I'm having second thoughts about putting them on now. The seating position of the Ninja 650 is quite a bit more upright than the Firebolt. It is a very different feel .... You might just need some time to get used to it. Get your Firebolt, spend time riding it and if you need to, you can get the dropped pegs, raise the handle bars and spring for a Corbin seat.

tony: i am 60 and 6ft. tall and 195lbs. had an XB9 firebolt for a few years and hated it. the seat which was more of a heating pad sucked and the clip-ons did as well. bought an aftermarket seat and the below spiegler set-up and totally changed the ergonomics making it quite comfy and enjoyable. wasn't cheap to do but really improved the whole firebolt riding experience. short of these 2 items i was at a loss how to make it suit me other than selling it.

I had a Corbin seat on my sv650s. I really disliked it. I also had the gel seat. It was super hard when it was cold out and on fire when it was hot out. I sold both those seats and went back to stock for awhile. Then sold the bike. The most comfy bike I've ever had was my Blast 2 years ago. But I got my man card taken away for riding it with pride. The ninja is pretty comfy but still not just right. I need a huge motorcycle demo day so I can ride everything I want.
