Thanks! $hitty iphone pics but they work I guess.

I just got a e-mail saying the belt wont be shipped "due to heavy volume on the holidays" around 1/7/11.

i just bought all the parts off ebay for probably way too much. should be here next week. or the week after.

I got most of it done this weekend!

Left side removal of R peg support and tensioner bracket.

Right side, remove heat shield and peg support bracket to get to swingarm pivot shaft. Use the axle removal tool supplied in factory tool kit.

Remove rear wheel, remove two caliper bolts and set caliper inside of swingarm to get the wheel out. Loosen pinch bolt on pivot shaft, 11mm, remove pivot shaft, remove shock bolt.

I tie straped the shock up to the seat frame so it would stay out of the way. Remove two brake line bolts and pull the swingarm out.

Installed pulley on wheel, reused bolts and applied blue loctite to the bolts.

Installed rear swingarm, wheel and caliper assembly in reverse order.

When installing belt on front pulley has notch for belt to go on.

Reinstalled right side peg and support assembly. Assembled left side peg support and tensioner bracket and installed. This is where it went bad, ebay parts are great until u buy bent ones. Oh well, this a stopping point for the weekend I guess. Good thing its the winter and I have plenty of time to order one.

Hey Stang great thread!

Questions… sorry to jack the thread.
Are you happy with the paint quality and the finish of the HD paint? What about the textured like finish- does it match the OEM? Once you knock down the texture by sanding, does the HD paint give you that type of outcome?

Also, how much would be needed to paint an entire swingarm? I am gathering parts to do the Ss swap on the wife’s XB and bought a grey swingarm that needs to be black.

The paint matches perfect! The texture was the hardest part to match I had back way off, 2 foot away, the swingarm and spray it dry to first give it that orange peel texture. Then covered when I had the texture right. I ended up using almost the whole can by the time I was done. I think it's a regular 12 oz. can.

I would say if you have access to a paint booth and could heat the part to about 130-160 or so it would be a lot easier.

Good luck hope that helps.

Finally all my left side peg support show up last night. Got it installed and all fastners torqued. I forgot to add, when installing the belt, make sure you can read the part number on the belt while standing on the left side, the belt is directional.

Now all thats left is to send the ECM back for the reflash to make the Speedo correct. I cant seem to get EBR to answer my emails. Their isnt a place on their website to pay for the ECM upgrade. Has anybody sent their ECM back for a upgrade? How did you pay the 35?
