I've got a standard seat I'd like to recover. I'm considering hotwiring it down a bit when I do so to make it a "low" seat. I'm curious if anyone happens to know if the low seats use a different foam / density than the standard seats. If not, hotwiring it down or recontouring it should work just fine.

I'm also open to any suggestions you may have on otherwise lowering the seat height. '06 Uly.

Probably the same foam. When you cut the top down, also look at trimming the angle on either side, so your legs have a 'straighter' path to the ground.

You might be able to get a nice low seat for a reasonable price and skip the recovering. I think i have one.
