Ok, I basically went through and did maintenance to all my wires (electric clean sprayed them.) Afterwards, I would turn the key and the gas would pressurize etc etc normal set up, but when I pressed the ignition button, the bike's dash would turn black and it would seem as if the bike had seized or puased, and then the bike would start, and a u0001 error code would be thrown.

Now this has happened once or twice before but never a pause like that.

I checked the bike's code history before this occured to me and it seemed as if this code was already in the ecm's memory so it's happened before.

What could this mean?

The bike's volts read 12.6

Also, when I press the ignition button on the bike the dash will go black and turn 2-3 times and finally start, but it won't display the error code, nor will the engine light turn on. The volts read good also.

any wisdom?

I guess this is just the nature of the beast, to mess with me, the bike starts and runs and I even blasted it to 130 on the highway and nothing went wrong. man these buells are a different kind of machine versus the imports I own.

My CR is doing the same thing right now. Battery is getting old. I have pretty much replaced every bit of the charging system over time except the battery and the r/r. I have decided it is this because if I plug my mender in at night it will not do that. I also stops doing it if I ride for a long period of time before having to restart it.

+1 on Battery - sometimes mine will do it, sometimes it won't. I still have yet to replace the battery in the 2 years I've owned mine and I don't think the owner before me has replaced it either...

These bikes do have their electrical problems, but they are not the only ones that do. To me they are not that big of a deal. Frustrating yes, Harley should have figured out and fixed all the electrical problems that they have, but they didn't. These bikes were forced rapidly into production and it's not really fair to blame the motorcycle. I love fixing my own problems and sharing the solutions places here. If anyone has a question feel free to pm me I will be glad to help in any way I can. On a side note if you Google "stator Issues" just about every brand pops up. Some models you will be very surprised to see on there.

Well dieselz, I am over the fact that this bike has it's moments and just got over it I guess, when I realized that it was just the nature of the beast to act right and wrong when it wants to.

Bike is amazing, thanks eric and all those from the buell team.

An update...If I turn the key onto "on" and let the bike make it all the way to the ct cold blink and all lights are off the bike will usually start with one to two turn overs without any problems..this is my first fuel injected bike so I am not used to it quite yet~
