Quadracer... I know you've already checked the spark, but since you said you're not an electronics/engine guy, I wanted to clarify one thing we might have overlooked.
In order to test the spark plug, you have to make sure the base of the plug is still touching the motor somewhere. (Someone mentioned it, but I wanted to clarify) As long as the metal threaded part of the plug is touching something metal on the motor, you should have spark.
If no spark, buy a new plug and try that one. Plugs are only a couple bucks, so I would start there before digging into more complicated and expensive things like coils. Also, make sure they are set to the proper gap.
If both plugs are not sparking, I would check your kill switch before checking coils. It's unlikely that they both went out at the same time.
