Your bike breaks in February, you drop the motor and rebuild the rear cylinder, drill out the exhaust studs and retap the head, get all new gaskets, throw it all back together within 4 months. Ride it around the block 3 times and you get a heavy knock?

I just pulled the motor out again last night to assess the damage/noise.

Issue found: work rocker arm on the intake valve and a rounded valve stem.

Looks like the intake pushod went up, pushed the valve mostly down (seeing as it still ran) then slips and runs down the springs.

By the time I'm through with this bike I'll have had it completely apart 3 times now.

If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all.

but, the good news is that you can do it with your eyes closed, now. You should make a video of the engine removal.

I suppose I could.

I've definitely learned some tricks to this.

the first time I pulled the motor I disconnected EVERYTHING. Wiring harness, oil lines, throttle, clutch, the whole bit.

this last time I just pulled the airbox off, remove the velocity stack, unbolt the clutch cable retention clip on the front motor mount, removed both right and left air scoops, unbolt the Y-Bracket (Where oil cooler is mounted), loosened the pinch bolt on the rear axle (to keep from stretching the belt) and lowered the motor on a jack.

Just sell that POS and buy a ninja for stunting.

Good thing he has an engine cage... as to not ruin the ninjarific motor :)
I heard Kawasaki uses expanda-foam in lieu of traditional fork oil. Lucky for him the ejecting fork fluid will quickly turn into a pillow of foam, and his face plant will not be so horrific. [up] for brilliance on Kaw's part :D
