I just purchased a 2009 xb12ss that hopefully will arrive in the next week or so (from out of state). Been thinking about changing exhaust and others have suggested the Drummer. Wonder if you have an update on your progress?

Second question would be does the unit offer sound baffling? I like loud pipes, but have read from others that the Drummer is very loud - surpassing 100db.

The SS has the option of a core pack that lasts a long time, but there is no modular baffling. The muffler is *not, however, super loud. If anything, it "growls" more than it "barks". It sounds just right to my ears. Now the D&D muffler, on the other hand, will have you running for cover.

I enjoy my Drummer and would highly recommend it.

ZDude, it sounds like you will be fine with the process of installing what you need.
You just need to wait for the parts to arrive and then contact BuellTooth.

No. Bluetooth is a way to wirelessly send data. Like music to a speaker, or data to a program.

If you mean "Is the Buell tuning program 'ECMDroid' compatible with an Apple i-pad or iPhone?" The answer is no.
I had a $29 android tablet that was slow, cheap, and sucked, so now I use an extra Android burner phone (I got for free from AT&T when I signed up). No contract, no SIM, I can download anything via WiFi. MUCH better interface and easy to stick in my pocket to datalog.

The "TuneaBuell" service uses the program ECMDroid to install the fuel programs on the Buell.

If you mean "Is the Buell tuning program 'ECMDroid' compatible with an Apple i-pad or iPhone?" The answer is no.

Personally I have ECMSpy and I managed to snag just about every map file for the XB9 and XB12 bikes. Stock or Race.

If you'd rather not use the free phone, there is a way to run a 'Windows Emulator' on a Mac. Maybe it works for the iPad too?

IMHO ECMSpy and TunerPro (and the USB cable you have to make or buy) are very good at making fuel programs from scratch (once you learn all the functionality of the program and tuning theory). Datalogging is as easy as carrying the laptop with you (putting it in a backpack or something) and running a cable under the seat.

ECMDroid is meant for non-computer-whiz people to do diagnosis and transfer existing maps for your muffler swap. Put the phone in your pocket and ride.

I am going to use it for track days. I installed a Drummer, K&N and did the breather mod. I also have an aftermarket ECM thats designed for these mods. Right off there's a stumble just off idle I would like to see go away.

Either the "aftermarket ECM" actually is NOT designed for those mods or there's a real problem.

It should run very well if it has the correct ECM and that won't change, so make sure you FIX IT before you go messing with the tuning or ECM at all.
Assuming it's a tuning issue could lead to hair pulling, money, down time, many repetitive threads on here, and frustration for everyone. Even if you manage to tune the stumble away, you're just masking the real issue.

Once you figure out how to use whatever tuning software you choose, I would first check the EGO correction factor and AFV. 2 big clues to what's going on before you dump the box of tuning Legos on the carpet. High correction factors will show leaking intake seals, lazy O2 sensor, etc.

Why would you purchase an ECM for these mods when, you can simply reprogram your original ECM for much less $ ?

It's easy enough to put it back to stock and see if it is truly running as you remember, at least this would give you piece of mind that it truly is the mods that are at fault.

If the above works well, I would, Try taking your original ECM,, download your stock program to a safe place, then get a program from one of the guys here that should work for your new gear.

I purchased the ECM because I don't have the nohow on how to download a different map. Tune a Buell should be able to fix the stumble. Mind you this is just off idle, in neutral. Haven't ridden the bike yet with the modifications.

#2 You are assuming the ECM has the wrong tune so....You want to download a tune to your ECM

Tell us more about the ECM in the bike. Where did you buy it from? Is the seller a reputable place you can send it back or have it diagnosed?
