below is directly from the dyna beads maker website (above)

can I use Dyna Beads ..for motorcycle road racing?
answer from them:

A: No. The inner liner compound of motorcycle road racing tires is too soft to allow Dyna Beads to perform properly.
This does not apply to off-road motorcycle racing.

if anyone is due for a tire change soon running dyna beads i challenge you to look at the inside of the old tire vs a new tire, you will see what i am saying.
I would bet the beads are too from wearing away the inner liner of the tire, plus lots of black rubber dust or tiny tiny rubber balls formed from the rubber dust heated up and rolled into a ball.
they may work to a point but I doubt any tire manufacture would say ok to the use of them and possible void tire warranty. the liner in most tires are just not designed anything to be rolling around in the tire. I have seen lots of tires with all kinds of things in them from paper to valve stems & rubber bottom of valve stems to slime to water and rust in tires alot of them marked up and even tore up the liner in the tires. plus think about the beads hitting the rim when they fall slowly chipping away at the chrome, paint, and metal of the rim it self , and those chips and dust of the rims hitting and sanding down the inner liner of the tire. plus some ceramics hold heat well , think about that ??

I would like to know exactly what theRubber Manufacturers Association says about these in motorcycle tire?

they may work for balancing , but I am worried and wonder what kind of damage they could do to the rim, tire, inner liner!

this is my point exactly, dyna beads can be considered dangerous in high mileage sport tires. for the reason if it gets under a high mileage tire's inner liner tape, it can cause the tire to blow when warm

when i have my next alaska traveler running dyna beads, i will take a picture of the inside of a rim, tire, and everything else. and to my knowledge we did have a bike come in because the dyna beads ate through a tube and blew out.

I sell and recommend Dyna Beads in my shop. The manufacturer recommends against use in race slicks, not DOT street tires. As to rim wear and tire damage... I don't buy it. The size of the beads is smaller than the head of a pin. Very little mass to do any damage. As to the tire damage.. sport bike radials are only on for 5 to 8000 miles before they are worn out..not a lot of time. I have not seen any evidence of damage in tires being replaced. In my opinion a good product, I run them in all my bikes.

Unless you ride around at 5 mph all the time and the beads are still "tumbling" then you might wear out the inside of the tire.
I'm changing both of mine shortly and I'll document the wear (if any) inside the tires and rims. :p

I'm sure there will be none, the earth was once thought to be flat and was then proven to be round wasn't it?:D

Fools, we use this crap back it the 60 and 70s before there was Radial tires, I would never use it in my buell Never. what you thinks happens with a alum wheel when you put lead on it and add water, yes there is water in air. think about it.

Hmm, all the skeptics haven't even tried them yet. I think a little over thinking may be the case. I'm curious and a bit skeptical, but my skepticism has nothing to do with any of the theories posted here yet lol.

They are CERAMIC Not lead, who's a fool?

I've been using Dyna Beads for a couple of years, NO problems at all.Hasn't even hurt the finish on the inside of my rims. They came out to use them on large trucks/buses etc. Then it went on from there. Now theres no lead to mess up my rims Looks or otherwise. Even at 90/to 110 plus nice and smooth. Good enough for me.Now on the Track w/race Tires thats different.

Along the lines of something other than wheel weights, has anyone heard of the RIDE-ON Tire System?

i am using that in my pilot pure's seemd fine to me and the added security of flat prevention is nice too....got 4000k on them now and no problems smooth till 230km/h

That is what I have read in most reviews. South Texas Suzuki is offering the service with the flat prevention and tire service plan. Sounds like something pretty cool.
