So have a hotter plug on the way for the front cylinder. Had the ngk iridium DCPR9EIX in both, will be putting the DCPR8EIX in the front. It runs 70-100 degrees hotter, should help keep it from running rich...I'll update once it's in, hopefully that'll help things run better!

mine wouldnt stay fired up. would try... cough and die.

i sent an email and michael replied saying there was a small batch with similiar problems and they are investigating. i am waiting patiently here for the replacement.

I just sent EBR an email i have same issue. if there is a bad batch I got one and want/need a replacement ECM

tell me bout it. Is it just the 08/09 EBR ECM's that are having the issues or is anyone else with an older XB's having the same idle and cough issue. my bike needs a good dose of cough medicine.

i am having similar problems with my 09 aswell, but there very random. I spoke with michael at EBR today and he advised me that they are noticing these problems seem to be happening with riders who are using either a Jardine or a D&D exhaust (which i have) and that may be the problem. I don't have an idling problems, just a cough at times and a noticable flat spot at times in the rpm range. Mike advised me to take my bike to a local dealer and see what my Adaptive Fuel Value is and that the dealer can check this easily with there electronic diagnostic tool. This will help them in seeing where the problem might be and if the value is under 80 it oculd possibly be a learning to be a bit lean.

hopefully this helps some, but when i find my AFV and let EBR know we'll see if they can remap my ecm. I also was told there expecting a D&D pipe to arrive soon at EBR and there going to see how the race ecm is working with the pipe. Maybe the fuel values are off considering the RACE ecm was meant for and tuned around there old race dual outlet pipe.

i think it is only the latest 08/09/10 models. i just had another email from michael. they are running some dyno checks at the moment for some investigation and refinement of the calibration.

so hopefully all good soon.

can not wait.

Hello Guys I have a question,
I have an 07 xb9r and just finished putting a jardine exhaust and K&N air filter. I was looking into the race ecm that EBR racing sells does anybody know if this map is the same as the one that you could get awhile back (pro series part)
any help would be great,

just put in my EBR ecm and the idle is high... cant seem to find how to adjust the idle back down... can anyone help??

Anyone have any updates on their ECM troubles? I've been out of town for the past month, so lost contact with Dan at EBR...I plan on pulling my race ECM when I get back home in another two weeks and sending it back.

im shure its on here and i just cant find it how do you reset the the tps i need to do it to my bike as i pute a k&n and a D&D on it also this thread is making me want to buy the ebr ecm

miami78. i had my ebr ecm retuned with the new update for jardine exhaust. awesome change no idle issues backfiring or any other issues. noticeable power increase over original ebr

gbyrd - yeah, I saw they released that one, just wish they had one for the d&d...maybe the jardine flash will work for the d&d?

when i was at ebr mike said it was designed for more open exhausts like the jardine and also the d&d. should work great for you to. if you have any questions call ebr. the number is 262-642-1627 ask for michael richter

Help!! Has anyone found a fix for the serious surging issue? I have an 08' XB12XT 800 miles with breather/Jardine/K&N mods and the surging is killing me. Occurs at all speeds, but serious at 2000-4000 RPM's. I'm considering changing out the IAC valve and purchasing a non-programmable race ECM as it has been mentioned as fixing the surging. Anyone have other thoughts? If I can't fix it, I'm gonna have to sell an otherwise awesome bike.

i have a 2009 xb12r with the EBR ecm but its not the jardine version just the regular race map and it runs fine for me... just a little drop in idle after it starts to get hot it traffic.... i was tring to look for someone else with the jardine EBR ecm to compair...

I have had a problem with ebr ecm in that it drops the idle after it reaches full operateing temp. and will foul a plug if I let it.Did all the sugetions, tps reset, etc.Doesnt do it with stock ecm, wich rules out mechanical probs with bike. has any one else sent theres back for corection of this problem?
