Good stuff, it's good to hear EBR took care of you. Anyway, in the automotive world, it has been seen more often than not, that certain brake rotors just don't agree with certain brake pads. Mainly its the brake lining material and material of the brake rotor that doesn't agree. Depending on the hardness of the rotor, determines whether you need a harder ceramic brake pad or a softer semi-metallic brake pad. Although no serious issues arise out of mix matching the material, customers usually just complain about brake noise, and occasionally we do see serious brake scoring issues from this like in this thread. Not as bad though because it still wouldn't cause brake pulsation unless the rotor is warped or you have been riding the brake for a stupid long amount of time to heat the rotor till it warped, which I doubt is what happen. So I'm curious, maybe everyone can research what kind of brake lining material they have on their pads and what kind of brake rotors paired with it. Maybe we can find the best match of rotors and pads. Obviously buying whole complete sets works best like the EBR race rotor w/ EBR float kit and EBR pads works. So what other combinations have y'all tried and worked out great? I would like to know because I am changing my brakes very soon.
