Had my visor up pulling out of my neighborhood.

I got a bug in my eye the other day in my work parking lot, visor was up, hurt like hell and couldn't get it out for 2 hours.

I know it's obvious but I just hope it's sold in one piece and they allow Erik to run the design and build aspect. He needs to work for a real businessman and just focus on his passion of building world class race bikes and maybe even more production bikes.

he has basically already said in public that its going to be sold in one piece and that its more than one bidder that going to be bidding on it...

I've read the same type of thing on a site called therideadvice.com although EBR's FB says nothing of the sort. I only hope that whatever the case may be is that Erik is able to continue to fulfill his vision and build us wicked world class motorcycles because the whole world says we can't and Erik did it......PERIOD

Actually I've now read about 5 different articles from different websites saying the same thing about Hero buying out EBR. Still makes me wonder if it was a clean deal or a dirty move?

I figured it was common knowledge that EBR had been acquired by the flying spagheti monster. Lol. Its not true whatsoever. The auction isn't even until next week. All of this hero buying EBR bullshit is based off of a Thailand article that is far from credible. They couldn't even spell the names correctly in the original article.

It has been vehemently denied by significant cources close to or in the fray of the EBR goings ons.

However. After reading into the can-am guys doings and how they have been integrating Buell and EBR parts onto their 998cc polaris hillclimb engines..... I'm thinking Polaris may very well have significant interest in EBR.

Who knows. It will be over in a week or two.

come on Polaris :eagerness:...The only company in my opinion that would be better than Polaris would be Ford and they already have some marketing deal with HD.

Well, it appears the source of the rumor that Hero had already purchased all of EBR has been revealed. 30+ Indian sites (some moto-related, most stock market/financial related) say that Hero has entered into an agreement with the receiver to purchase certain assets of EBR for $2.8M.

Here's one link: http://www.autocarpro.in/news-national/hero-motocorp-acquire-ebr-usd28-million-8949

It appears what Hero is doing is buying the design information EBR had been working on for upcoming Hero models including the HX250R, Hastur, Leap scooter, etc. for $2.8M. They allegedly owed EBR $20M for this work. In exchange for the cut-rate price for the design info, Hero relinquishes all claims against EBR and EBR relinquishes all claims against Hero. This appears to mean that Hero gives up their 49% ownership in EBR as part of the deal, and that whoever's interested in buying the rest of EBR (partially completed bikes, parts, machinery, designs, name, etc.) doesn't have to deal with Hero at all. That would also explain the delay in the auction while this was worked out.

Here's a link to the Hero press release:

It's definitely going to be really interesting to see how this all turns out.
