Ok, so i got the cable and cd today and got everything installed, but it cant find the bike. I tried to download the FTDI driver but i'm not sure it worked, is there anything else i can do? Searches of old threads yield many dead links and old info

sometimes the order of the hook up matters the first time you use that program.. its been so long I forgot all the details. I think I had to turn the program on.. then connect to the usb in the laptop.. THEN plug in to the bike.. I remember I had a tough time getting a connection that first time, I seem to remember that there was a procedure you had to do to get the cable to be recognized then the ECM gets recognized when you hit the "key" icon ... its been along time. After you make your first connection, it does it a lot easier from there on out..
