this bike will be the game changer for ebr
yes it will be and for his competition as they are loving it and cursing it at the same time, wishing they had erik designing their race bikes.

Is it just me but I think the EBR 1190RS Carbon Edition looks so much like a super fast & sexy Fighter Jet !!
reminds me of so many fighter jets & high end high dollar Exotic cars that look like they're going super fast even sitting still parked!!

Both are Sexy , But I think I would Have to go for the MV.

I think the MV looks a little chunky compared to the Buell.

I'd still go with the Buell. 375lbs and 170+HP has gotta be wicked to ride.

jesus i've been creeping on this bike for a while today. bet alot of money these first bikes are going to be worth something in 25 years.

It has the Heart , just not the soul. I always been a Ducati fan , but being 6' and with long legs , Me and a duc is not a good match. My Buell fit me well.

anybody else think that front fairing is ugly as F*ck? and projector headlights look like ass?

we are ones that will be buying your bikes after all...

hmmm, well as one who does not have a disposable 25 k to 40+k laying around nor would I put myself in debt by financing a new EBR bike, the reality is I doubt anyone one this forum can afford one...

I am glad Erik is able to get back in the game building bikes but until he comes out with a bike that is well under 20k the majority of Buell fans will not be able to afford one.

If I get another Buell, it'll be another XB or an older tuber....never was a fan of the r's, the CR's do speak to me but full fairings and priced out of the common mans affordabilty range are turn offs..
just my .01 (times are tough, only to get toughter)

I love Erik's passion and also being the under dog against huge foreign production motor cycle companies!

he comes out with a bike that is well under 20k the majority of Buell fans will not be able to afford one.

This price will come down with corporate support with a full production street bike! But he has to race the shit out of these EBR bikes to draw some attention!!I have supported EBR with purchases off the web site and also bike parts! Love seeing an American bike racing for its survival [up]

nativeXb12Rbuell- has a awesome thread on this season and info

You Guys don't get it , The bike will not be price that high. sure Higher then I want still, but I think we are looking at 16,000 to 18,000, and Erik said (yes E-mail him he write back. ) would like his new bikes be lower then that. What is this Corporate crap anyway. you have 4 small company trying to build bikes now and it was 3. 3 are using the same engines one Makes them and a 4 big company uses their engaine to. the engine is now the biggest cost for EBR. what cost the most is always labor, right, look at chopper you can buy on from OCC from $50,000 grand or buy one from a small bluider for 20,000 I think the EBR's will cost less then you think.

if it only 100 , that is only for AMA rules so the bike can race and that is it. so either he never have a real production bike , or it will fail because of the first 100. who going to buy it , Jay leno will , But not me.

I cant imagine the bikes will be over tne top in price.I dont think the non Buell owners of today will take the risk to be honest.Once you own one your hooked, but price was defenetly a factor with my R.The carbon model will be pricy,he is probibly using ultra light weight aloys as well. The bike you and I will be buying will be built like the 1125s.Trouble is all you HD powered Buellers better get use to the rotax, if you want a new bike[confused]

I was just wondering,How many parts will be ,interchangable,If you crashed an 1125,would frame,swinarm,forks,pegs,bars,etc.fit.Or do you think HD stiched him up and made him change everything so very slightly so it wouldent fit,So HD will have the monopilly on parts.

i dont think h-d wants much to do with parts, and i'm pretty sure erik buells stuff would fit. if that's what your asking.

I think (just me, I THINK) they need 12 bikes available for purchase prior to racing one in the AMA. Not sure where I heard that at, but it rings a bell. They need 100 by the end of the year. Doesn't mean they have to be sold, just available for sale.

Different frame for sure. Swingarm is the chain drive kit, so unless you swap over to chain, it won't fit either. Axles are 5 mm larger than the 1125, wheels are different (much lighter) as well as other changes. New brake rotors, mounting hardware, etc.
I think the engine cases are the same, so the oil filter will be around for a while. Dunno about transmission changes, haven't heard anything on that front, I assume it's the same as the 1125 though. Rotax owns the engine/rights etc. from what I had heard.
