Hy guys, here is frank from milano, italy.
Today i was changing my air filter when i noticed a cable right over the rear cylinder: i found this strange: how is possible that a cable wrapped with a sort of duck tape is really over asuch a hot part as the head cylinder?
So, i noticed that the the area of the cable that touches the head cylinder is a little burned.
Do your bikes have the same cable?
i post a picture of it;
that cables connect with others and finishes to the ECM.
Please let me know
Thanks
frank

Please guys, i really need to know if you also have this cable on your bike: you just have to take off the air box cover.
My bike is really quite new i never did anything on the engine.
Also i don t understand where i can used zip ties: there anything to hold on there.

that cable that comes from the rear head is the engine temperature sensor, it is on all of them if it wears through you'll have issues

my stuff

sorry guys but i don t thing it is the engine temperature sensor: the cable is not coming from the rear cylinder, it is just running over it and it comes from the front part of the bike, then it is wrapped with many other cables that are going to the ECM all together wrapped on a sort of black tape.
I hope that i explained my self in a good way.
My buell is a xb9sx 2009.
Maybe there is someone with my sam bike tha can check?
Greetings from milano.
