Sorry no pictures, but I just picked up a little 2008 Kaw 500r today that looks and rides like new for $2300. Did'nt ride it much its 26 degrees in ST. louis Mo. But seems like nice a bike. Has 4100 miles and came with a complete list of service records since new.(I'm not getting rid of my 09xb12Ss just yet). Anybody here had any experience with these bikes?

they are great little bikes. my wife has one of those to start and i also picked it up cheap with very few miles on it as well. awsome gas milage and just enough power to be entertaining.

Never ridden the 500, but I had one of the ex250s back in 2001-2002. It was a seriously fun bike. Wasn't made for serious miles and I had to put $300 in parts on it to get it to pass inspection after the first year(and completely got hosed on labor), but the bike itself was definitely fun.

The bike we got for my wife to learn on was a GS500 but I had always wished we had found one of the kawasakis when she was looking.

Cheap, fun, reliable bikes (Both EX250 and EX500). Both have been for the most part unchanged from the 80's till just a few years ago, so parts are cheap new and dirt cheap used. They don't survive wrecks very well, but their cheap to fix.
I've owned a EX250 and have a buddy with a 500 (I've done quite a bit of work on his from wrecks).

They don't survive wrecks very well,

I can agree with that. 1 measly little 12pt buck and my whole front end disappeared!
