I have a Droid X and would love an app for data logging

Just out of curiosity is there even any way to interface a phone with the bike? Wifi would require an expensive module on the bike. There is no serial interface on any droid or the iPhone. I'm not sure if you can do a serial bluetooth on iPhone or droid either. Not trying to rain on this parade, I would love to see an app, but I'm skeptical its even possible.

life: are you suggesting a bluetooth adapter to the serial port on the bike feeding the info to the phone/ipod? I would love to see this product available for data logging, and changing the ecm maps, like active tuning..?

Kyle: There is an ECM program for Palm, could you adapt the programming to work with the different phones? Not sure you're familiar with it, does it do both logging and adjustments?

Hey guys, the program has been set back due to everything that has been going on lately. All progress we had made was lost when our house burnt and we are now having to start over. I just accepted a new job as well, so I am having to move for that job and I will be working 50+ hours a week. I hope we get to resume on this project soon though.

fwiw, since it came up: my 3G iphone was in my inside chest pocket on both crashes and came through better than I did.

My iphone was in my right jeans pocket in my wreck, the car hit me on that side, threw my from the bike, and I landed on it when I rolled. Phone was just fine, I even had a backpack full of iphone screens and parts because I fixed iphones and i was laying on the backpack in the road and they were all just fine. Then, I dropped my iPhone 4 a few weeks ago and cracked the screen, dammit[mad]

I had ecmspy running on an iPhone 4. I just haven't bought a ecm Bluetooth adaptor to see if it worked in real time and logged.

Had to jailbreak my phone. The app to run ecmspy on works on jailbroken apple devices
