All I can see is a cop make use and abuse of is autority.

That guy was handcuffed with 5 cops around him and represents no threat.

If they can not hear some talking from a drunk guy whitout opening his head, then they are in the wrong profession.

I used to work at the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth and this is NOT the way that I was trained to handle drunks.

And to be perfectly honest, the reason I left that Sherrifs dept was because of *sshole LEO's there.

Why did the other cops bolt off camera so fast after the guy hit the ground....(they were thinking, oh crap were out of here!)

The guy was in cuffs already, but him in a cell and leave him. Cops have such power trips- give them a badge and gun and they think they can do what they want.
I havnt met or had to deal with many cops in my life, but i never really met one i liked. They all had huge chips on their shoulders. Ya, the guy was drunk they said.... so arrest him, fine him, lock him up, much better off the street then behind the wheel... but your a professional... if the d*ck makes a comment.. you should be able to brush it off and keep on working.

Just the other day a good friend of mine was on his way to work. He got pulled over because the cop says he was not wearing his seatbelt (its the law in CT).... my friend says he was ( i have never seen him not wear it) and the cop argued with him for 10 mins saying that he put it on when he got pulled over and gave him a ticket still. The thing is... he was driving an F350 superduty (higher then the cop car-hard to see in, has tan interior and he was wearing a tan shirt, and the superduty seat belts on the supercabs come off the seat, not the b-pillar therefore you really can see it anyways.... he said the cop was a total d*ck.... sorry for the rant...

Was raised to hate cops, sorry no compassion. He was doing an amazing job at serving and protecting that citizen though.

As a cop you should have enough patience to handle a drunk asshole. Thats their job. You cant smash the face of every drunk person that doesnt cooperate.

I've had enough experience with law enforcement in my life to learn the difference between a police officer and a pig.

That, my friends, was a pig. He reflects poorly on the rest of the force. He should be ashamed of himself.

The cop was wrong . I served as a master at arms TAD in the navy . I went through law enforcement training . Drunks tell you they will find you and kill your family all night long . Hell the things they say could land them in the brig alone . I always had to bite my lip and control myself . A cops job is never ever ever easy . I respect all cops always . Mainly because Ive done it . Only on base and only for 6 months but it sucked . He was wrong in my opinion . Remember the bigger man always walks away . Push the asshole in the cell and it's over . Now he gets paid for being an asshole . justice served ? for who ? drunk asshole gets paid = good cop gets fired . A cops first job is to protect , then serve . This is just my opinion . Sorry for the rant .

from what i know, from my friends dad(watch camander) once you have some one in handcuffs your not sapose to use excessive force. cus they dont really pose a threat anymore. i mean who hasnt mouthd off to a cop b4 like a couple people said allrdy , if you cant handle bein mouthd off to and dealing with assholes all day then simply dont be cop. be a baby sitter for a county jail, no1 gives a shit what happens there.

I cant believe sound could change anyones mind on what happened.
Is there anything anyone can SAY for anyone to be able to physically hurt them.
If that is the case this cop I mean pig is just a sissy, and needs to grow a pair.

not called for and not appropriate

tactical advantage?
yea right there were 3 cops in grabbing distance of a guy wearing cuffs, he already had the tactical advantage.
all he needed to do to control him was grab the chain on the cuffs and lift about 3", you would be amazed how fast that will take the fight out of someone.

The fact is that you are not trained as a police officer and do not know the proper procedure. The officers were within protocol when they took care of the situation at hand. Otherwise they would have been found criminally liable but if you actually read all of the facts then you would know the federal court threw out the case against the officer.

no I'm not a cop but I was trained as one in the military

protocol does not support bludgeoning a cuffed unarmed man

yes I did read the article did you?

police said. Hudson never made an internal affairs complaint, and an internal investigation did not begin until he sued on Aug. 14, 2009.

Then, a more thorough search produced a video recording, police said.

During that time, the clock on the type of discipline that could be imposed on officers was ticking, and it ran out in December 2008.
"We missed the opportunity to discipline this officer under civil service guidelines," Lt. Paul Henderson said.

One group of police supervisors, after viewing the video, found that Harris did not use excessive force, according to a memo dated in January that was filed in the lawsuit. However, after Deputy Chief Kenneth Flynn and Chief Jeffrey Halstead saw the video, they found that Harris did use excessive force.

the statute of limitations had expired so no charges could be filled but even his Chief and the Deputy Chief said it was excessive.

the guy was out of line end of story

By the way, since everybody that saw the video understand it has been edited. The full video like all media can be changed to lean towards a different view. If you check the two million dollar lawsuit against the city got dropped to one hundred twenty thousand dollar. Then it got thrown out if federal court. Really the lawyer knows how to work the media. Just my opinion I think its funny, I'd rather some dumb f@©k get the sh@t knock out of them every time. I don't like those guys on the road with me, and I read you all bitching about people almost hitting us on bikes. If hes going to this do a cop surrounded by cops what would he do to a lone biker in his car? He was arrested because he was driving drunk.

The guy did turn on the officer in a combative manner
We don't know what was said but cop or not he is still human with emotions
He may have sensed the guy was building up to head bunt , spit or bite
I'm going to say he was using his authority properly

"He may have sensed the guy was building up to head bunt , spit or bite"

But he didnt do any of those things. Pre-crime ftw. Punished for a crime he has yet to commit.

not all prisoners want to smoke blue vain havana....must have been a knockback.....for sure...;)
