Yeh, I know, my truck gets about 9 mpg, and has dual tanks, goes about 300 miles on both.

Damn what do you drive!? lol. My full size quad cab v8 truck gets almost 20 city and 20+ highway.

'87 short wheel base F-150 with full Edelbrock goody equipped 351 Windsor, C-6 Auto, 4.10 gears, I use it to tow trailers,;)

my 2012 lifted Ram Sport gets @ 12.5-13mpg on the 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers :(

$90 fill-up and i can go @ 300 miles...

i laughed about it.....3.3gal....

breaking the bank HAHA !!!!

Just how cheap is "gas" over there in the USA at the moment? Here in England its £1.29 per liter, which works out at... erm.. $7.7 per US gallon by my reckoning.

Jeez... And you guys moan about a raise of a few cents?
Hey now don't include me in the bitch fetsival. I was only asnswering your question. I am thankful to be working so I can afford gas. Even if it were as high as you pay, what good would it do to gripe? [up]

Cheers :)

I have an 81 F100 with a 300, C4 and something like 2.42 gearing. Totally different truck than yours but I got like 18mpg with that as long as I kept it under 55mph(3 speed no OD).

Damn mine's a 2010 ram QC 4.7L and like I said I'm getting like 17-18city and 20+ hwy. I just did a 2600 mile trip to TN, AR, and back to FL with over 1,000 lb in the truck, through mountains, etc. and my average over the trip was 20mpg and was at ~75mph the whole time. I have heavy AT tires on aftermarket wheels which doesn't help mpg, but they are stock size(31"). Those 35's are hurting you, and I assume you're a hemi and probably 3.55 gearing. I love my ram, and the mpg, the power isn't too bad either, it'll nearly keep right with the hemi but it's not stock. Not bad for a little v8.

Sorry to be getting off topic lol.

When I drove through mississippi on the way home from AR we filled up for like ~$2.85/gallon. I was amazed lol. That was 87 octane though, I usually run a 93 tune and pay like ~$4.00/gallon (although it's come down recently) but I changed to 87 for the road trip to save some money.

Wasn't bitching at ya Lesley
oh I know. I wasn't saying that nor was I offended. Its all good. I included a :) so you'd know I was just conversing with you.

Cheers and good day. Or how we say in OKlahoma: have a good'un. :D

Sweet ride! I know what you mean about the cost of looking good haha. Here's mine:

Best vehicle I've owned by far(although I don't yet actually "own" it)lol.

That's kinda what i was thinking lol but i'm still semi concerned with the fact i have never put more than 2.8 gal in my bike and the last time i went 171 miles on the tank and only put in 2.75 gal not that i'm complinging and my fuel light was only on for 20 miles

I've had the bike 6 seasons now and only once needed more than 3 gallons on fill up.

so my light comes on sooner than yours. What you're experiencing in mileage is all normal. where's the quandry? [confused] your concerns are unwarranted. Nothing is wrong with your bike. Settle down and ride.

lol i do ride i put aobut 150 to 200 miles on a day commuting back and forth to work, the reason for i concern was everything i read said i had a 3.7 gal tank

Gobi, carry some spare fuel, and ride until dry--that is the only "accurate" way to measure your reserve and where your light comes on at. I suspect you'll find that your reserve light is rather conservative....
