I cut that switch off and started putting the connectors on them. The R headlights do not have a orange wire light the lightning headlights did. So I do not know where to go with that wire.

Your yellow and white wire need to be moved to the positions in this photo.

right, but the S switch and R switch are both male connectors so I had to cut them off to use crimp connectors. Now Im not sure which wire goes to which wire in order to make both headlights on.

I can try, so if I did that it would be black to black, (yellow from bike to nothing), Yellow to white, and white to orange...

ok here let me ask this. is this stock/normal for the R headlights

??? or do both come on with brights??

gtp do you have a voltometer?

I know someone that does... I cant find a picture of how it would look. I have 4 wires coming off of the bike that need to connect to 3 wires coming off of the R headlight module.

What I'm thinking is disconnect the headlight. Then take the voltometer and find out which wires do what. Then I think you can find the missing link

What year is yours? Do you have the repair manual? In my book it has both the r and s models. If you can read a wire diagram that may help

well from looking online, orange is running light, white is high beam, yellow is low beam, and black is ground. I do not have a service manual. My bike is a xb12scg 05.

to do the mod on the lightning, you switch the yellow wire with the orange wire.... ok, but I still have the issue of only having 3 wires coming off of the R headlights. Am I missing something here?
