I settled on black filament. I've been designing and 3D printing most of the week. Most of the time has been spent on my slow learning curve. Here's my first piece based on the design above.

Some of my printer setting still weren't where I wanted them. This piece is now my learning piece. I also realized seeing the top of the license plate might be a problem.

I reworked the design to incorporate a better view of the license plate. It will look like this.

From the side view this design will also give the appearance of a smaller tip at the end. I hope to have the part printed on Saturday!

The second tail end was printed and epoxied up to smoothen the finish. The lights were ordered today. It needs some wet sanding and paint. I'll have to order some designer black.

I really like where its going.. personally I would shoot for more like your other bike with the cowl cover but smaller. Maybe more angular.
But I really like the solo look

The Radiantz lighting came in today. I couldn't wait to get started installing them. Here the lights are getting tested to ensure they all work.

I drilled the small holes in the right end of the ring and threaded the wires through to the back. On the back side I Dremeled a channel for the wires so the mounting points can sit flat against each other.

And here it is lit up.

All that's left on this project is to meld the subframe spacers in and paint. I might get to that this weekend.

What is that screen? How did you mount it? That is awesome and Im very interested in that.

The screen is a Garmin ZUMO 660 motorcycle GPS. I use it for my music, mapping, fuel tracking, speedometer and call handling.

I built the housing it sits in. That project starts about half way down the page << HERE >>. Then on the following page of that thread I incorporated different indicators and an LED tach.

Whoa...I just picked up a s tail to shorten up my ss and I have diesel spacers, with all your messing with tails do you think its a viable option to somehow tweak the spacers and weld it up to get the proper alignment for the shorter tail?

i like the effort and idea here. good to see someone trying something different.
