Firebolt Seat Mods

Hello. Has anyone ever modified the Firebolt rear seat section? Besides swapping the the rear section for a Lightning section. I bought an extra Firebolt rear section of ebay and I'm thinking of "slimming" it up. I'd like to see some pics or any ideas would help get me started. Thanks.

I do not believe anyone has done anything of the like. Sext9 is doing a firebolt seat/lightning rail combo right now, however I do not know of anyone that has chopped up the factory subframe.

I thought about it a few years ago but never did. Nicholas900's cafe conversion looks pretty good, but it is a complete custom tail.

Look around for inspiration (possibly other bikes) and have at it!

Do you mean the tail fairing or the subframe? It has been done.

That looks like a complete 1 off piece to me...unless it's a ebr race subframe..?

It's part of the Manticor kit. I've seen it for sale somewhere before but the whole kit is around $3,000.

Back to the rear section...

So I've been thinking of that Manticor XB tail section from buell-parts.com. It's very, very nice. But VERY pricey. 649 Euros = $812. http://shop.buell-parts.com/Typhon-Monocoque-Fiberglass-unlackiert_1

Well..guess I'll do it the ol' fashioned way and try to make it myself. At least I have an idea of what I want.

Those are typhon or Ducati tail copies^.

There hasn't been a F bolt tail modified that I know if. I'd guess mostly because of the plastic section. S is all metal...
