the windows have never poped up for me! but down the left side of tuner pro third box down tables/functions
you will find maps and timing double click to open. have you been able to fetch the maps without errors?

if ecmspy will work for you then in tuner pro right click on map click edit item xdf this will give you the address in hex location
it didn't work for 1125 but maybe an xb

as in previous post I have been unable to fetch the file without errors starting on page 14 and 15. as for editing I have been able to edit what I want but without a good fetch there is no burn.
i have even tried and been able to read the maps with ecmspy make edits in hex but it will not burn that map only
Hope this helps

Tweaker, what errors are you receiving on pages 14 and 15? To the best of my knowledge, there are only 13 pages in the ECM. I receive errors at the end of a fetch as well, but my eeprom is complete.

hey thanks tweaker, I get those errors also after the 13th, I saw those little windows pop up but didnt think they were it, I guess I was expecting something cooler like ecmspy graphs and stuff.

just glad i could help someone else
it took me a while to get that far with odd issues
downloads didn't seem to load right
xdf file that would not load as per dirrections but if tuner pro is open during download then it loads?
just keep hacking

Mine did the same thing on my 09 12SCG. I went and downloaded the newest version of ECMREAD, and got the latest .xdf files.

I then uninstalled my old version of ECMREAD, and re-installed, then rebooted my computer and everything worked fine.

I uploaded the stock EEPROM, then turned right around and downloaded it back on and it all went well.

I then tried playing with the maps and turned off my servo since I am not using it anymore. It all took, because I get no check engine light, and the bike ran different. In different, I mean worse, so I re downloaded the stock maps leaving the servo off, and everything worked well, back to normal.

I don't know if you will gain much with changing the maps on the 09's, they run much richer than the earlier models and also have more tuning cells. If you do come up with something, please share with the rest of us.

Glad I was able to pass on some of my learning experiences. That's what this sight is all about isn't it?

Are you using the correct com port?

It looks as though your error lies in the fact that your computer can't find a COM10.

I would adjust your COM port to the one the cable is actually simulating.

yes it is the right comport.. i get great connection with ecmspy at the same port.. look at this picture can i trust the firmware info down to the left in ecmspy? buezd?

Did you install the driver for your cable. If you did, just click on the drop down next to com10 and see what other com ports you have available. There shouldn't be but a couple at the most unless you use a lot of com port emulators.

succes thanx to you bquinn... i´m running windows7 and do not have any extra cabledrivers so i changed to com2 in the device manager... and swoosh everything worked.. here is the result...

What kind of gains are possible with tuning? Is anyone tuning with access to a dyno?

Go to xoptiinside.com and download and install the VCP driver if you don't already have it installed.

Make sure you have the comport set to the right comport.

Have you got your key in the on position and the kill switch in the run position?

Just a few things to try, not sure what all you have.
