Footpegs...rider and passenger interchangable?

I wrecked 2 weeks ago n already ordered all the vitals parts I needed to get my xb12r back in normal riding condition. I'm still waiting for my hand to heal up before I try to remove the right passenger peg n put it in place of the right rider peg. Will this even work? I know the angle will be off compared to the left rider side, but I just wondering if anyone else has tried this...

I had to run my passenger pegs for a few days when I broke one of my rider pegs.

Other then not being able to use the return spring (minor annoyance) didn't have any trouble using passenger pegs.
