for those who leave bike outside, what security you use?

Wow...Wow! Does that even fit between the spokes!?

I think it only fits between the spokes. That chain is to large to loop through the frame of the bike, which is what you want to loop your chain through. A chain through the frame forces a cut, a chain through the tire can be defeated by removing the tire.

The grade 100 chain is knarly, bro…[cool] but my Lithium-ion cut off wheel would still chop in in less than a minute.

Maybe I should leave the key in it, pointed towards the street and hide 100' steel cable between the swing arm pivot and my house?

2am...Crank, crank, vroom! Peel out... 1st gear... 2nd gear….… THUNK! Call an ambulance, one less thieving POS:D

Thanks for all the replies. I do have insurance, but like one poster said, it be a pain. i think im going to go Chain method against a pole in my parking spot. I will also park in fron of car. But sometimes ill be taking car so thats when its most vulnerable. Hope chain and maybe disc lock will be enough.

As others have said, there is nothing to protect you from a professional or stupid but determined thief. The chain cannot be passed through the frame but can be through various other portions, but none that are 100% secure. You can also be creative with the padlock shackle that can fit places the chain can't. [up]
