Help Support Buellxb Forum:

I looked at these before I bought my Lighting. There is a small local shop that has been selling and customizing these bikes for awhile now. They look neat but its just not enough bike to be called a bike. I rode a Misfit that was all tuned up and had tons of custom parts on it and wasn't impressed at all. Then I started looking at the Blast... Ended up with the Lighting...

I need to start getting all this on video.. you guys would probably LOVE IT! I live in Florida in the Orlando area... there are all kinds of motorcycles and all kinds of riders around here.. just motorcycle chaos across the board and we pretty much ride all year long. It takes a really bad winter to keep people off their bikes. You see everything from Daryl Dixon to Rob Halford on motorcycles around here. ha ha

describe the rider and the bolt .. 12 or 9?

what Starbucks you talking about?

I only met one other rider on a white firebolt and it was a 9... he wasn't talking **** though. Quiet guy.. large build. seemed like a good guy to me. That was maybe 2 years back, now... had another guy with him on 12S I think it was.. they are on this forum but I forgot their names..

Same starbucks. Hes the guy with the 9. The other guy with the black 12 sold it and moved out of state.

That's definitely the same guy. Always talking smack about how fast he is. I think he's friend's with a guy with a red lightning around here too.

cant be the same starbucks.. Im the only Buell there. The starbucks right off I-4 and 434.. Altamonte Springs.
What starbucks are you talking about?

Why can't it? You just named two other buells that you met there so how are you the only buell there lol. I've personally led two buell's other than those listed above there as well.

Im like there every ******* DAY! Other then those two dudes stopping by that one day that's all Ive seen. Now the girls that work there told me that a guy with a bike just like mine stopped in a few times but that's about it as far as Buells at that starbucks unless they are going down there at night....

I live pretty far from there so I only go there when we plan to meet. I think I've met there about 4 times in 2 or 3 years. Last time was when I led the other two guys in I think february.

hey mods...we need the "Gloomshadow xb forum" to be added:D

always interesting and never a dull moment[up]

how's your starbucks stock doing?

:p

...went out to a nearby back parking lot built on a hill that has a bunch of cool terrain features on it to warm-up on....I made that move I just saw that he had a look of sheer terror on his face...
[up] For warming up before getting out on the road. We'd never go for a run, cycle, swim, or other activity without a warm-up, so why do it on a bike?

[down] for scaring that poor noob ;)

well Go, Im ex-military.. its pretty much in our nature to train and "get ready" for a worst case situation. Before I actually hit the street I like to warm-up in nearby parking lots, do some real tight turns both right and left.. inclining and declining turns .. get the tires warmed up and get mentally and physically "dialed-in" on the bike.. then when I head out. I feel more "ready for anything" after that.

I 100% agree, I do this myself, and I recommend it to anyone else as one of the most effective 'performance upgrades' you can do. 15 minutes of full-lock turns, low-speed straight-lines, and threshold braking before each ride make me faster than any aftermarket pipe ever will!

When I was a kid, I'd plan big rides out the mountains with my crew, then go drinking the night before, wake up late & hungover, and rush straight out to the meet-up. I cringe now when I think about the poor mental & physical states I used to ride in (perhaps that was also the problem with your friend on the Chinese bike in your OP!) and I'm amazed I'm still alive looking back on it.[confused]:D

I ride better when I'm drunk 1 or 9 beers really gets me relaxed and focused on the road.
