Has anyone found a way to have dual low beams AND high beams?

I've seen the re-wiring that you can do to get both lights on during high beam use, but I was wondering if anyone ever found a way to wire/install dual filament bulbs in both lights so that you have 2 lights on for low & high beam use?

i believe the reflectors are different. the wiring would be easy, change the sockets of course. i have thought of this myself, just don't think the reflectors inside the HL housings are the same, maybe i'll have to tear 'em apart to check.

would be very good to have 2 lows and 2 highs!

plus the aux lights i have as well.

50dro is talking about both lights having high and low in each housing. your link didn't say anything about that, as far as i could tell at least???

would be pretty easy actually, change the sockets, run the wires with jumpers in between the sides, presto, both on low, both on hi!

i may try this tomorrow!

just looked in the manual, since the bulbs are the same, it appears the reflectors in the housings must be different and would cause some issues, even on low beam, the bulb in the high side would be brighter, hmmm!!!

Unless you're changing the reflectors, that mod would be dangerous to other drivers. You wouldn't be able to turn off your high beam. I would just stick with the link posted if you want both lights on.

i think you are right dave_xb12r, the multi filaments tend to just have a higher watt high beam, would also draw even more current.

i added two aux lights that come on with the high beam and am very happy with the extra light. haven't done the dual lights on mod. i may add HID to the low beam and wire it on all the time.

This may prove to be more effort than it's worth? I'm definitely not trying to blind others...and not looking to have my hi beams on all the time either.

I'll have to look at my lights better to determine how the reflectors are set up (and if they can be modified)...

I'll let you know if I come up with anything.

I just put a set of Piaa lights in mine with the duel hi-beam mod and the light is fantastic at night. Extreamly bright with fantastic distance.
