GAXB9R, wish I lived close to Randy. He has been so helpful beyond just getting my exhaust done. We talked fuel maps, modifying rear mounting bracket, he offered to remove my cheese grater for free, but I actually like my stock rear, and he told me over and over that if I ever had any questions to give him a call. As responsive and helpful as he is I am not sure how he ever has time to do the exhausts. I would love to just follow him around and watch, listen, and learn. This world would be a much nicer place if there were more people like Randy around.

Talked to Randy on the phone yesterday and we walked me through everything. From removing the muffler to remapping the bike and good companies to buy from. Im sure its been said 1000 times, but the world would be a wonderful place if there were more people like him. I will send my muffler out monday and update my opinion, but im sure it will be very similar to everyone elses.

Just installed my new Hawk yesterday at my friend's place! It sounds soooooooo good! When I get some time, I'll put the Hawk specific map on it, but for now, the race map is working pretty well. Thank you for making an amazing and affordable product, Randy!

why don't we have anybody around Houston that knows how to do all this crap !?!?

lol

Where is Randy located ??

thanks for the link 9bolt.

not a bad option for people who don't want an extremely loud exhaust and who don't want to spend so much money.

i already have a Challenger and a lifted Ram for that lol.

Can you believe he used to modify the muffler, send it back to you and then ask you to pay! That's after he calls you 2 or 3 times to make sure you get what you want. He's awesome! I wish I knew the names of the loosers that stiffed him on payment. Best investment in my 2010 XB12Scg since i bought it & the best person to deal with PERIOD!:D

Talked to Randy again, cannot say enough nice things about him. Bought a donor pipe and sent it off. Getting it back next week hopefully. Absolutely stoked to hear what my 12 is going to sound and feel like.

1st, let me say that Randy is awesome, and I am happy with his pipe overall. For Randy's and all of you's information, I ran into a small issue with the muffler a couple months back. Basically, one of the metal plates that Randy welds on the inside of the tips (blocking the exhaust gases from escaping the muffler too easily) broke loose inside the muffler, so I started hearing a metallic rattling from the bottom of the bike... opened the muffler and noticed the problem right away. I had to weld a couple of reinforcements to the plates as shown in the pics below.

Randy: you may want to do that on the future pipes you mod, or figure out a way to reinforce the plates :)

Again, I love Randy and his pipe, this issue is an exception I am sure, so no worries...

oh and I took that opportunity to weld 2 brackets on top of the muffler to eliminate the need for a front clamp (which kept breaking on me). Everything is back together now and hopefully is never coming off again :)

I don't think you should have been breaking clamps maybe to tight? Engine movement? Solid mount might cause more damage somewhere else. Not trying to step on feet

First one was too tight. Learnt that the hard way. 2nd broke because the engine mount bolt (for the clamp) got loose and slowly vibrated the clamp into submission :(

The engine is fine. The solid mount was designed to accommodate the muffler expanding and its got 2k+ miles on it, so I am confident it's fine too.... well I hope so [confused] :)

if anything it looks a bit cleaner

First off nice new website Hawk. Second, can we now order an exhaust with out sending our own in. The online store makes me wonder

I also have to say Randy is a great guy. Bought an xb12s and I found out about Hawk and decided to try it. I have to say the best money I've ever spent. Sounds awesome and he also remapped ecm for free. I was low on money and he let me make payments! Most trusting person I've ever met. We need more Randys in the world. Once again great guy. Go with Hawk, you won't be sorry.

read(i love this pipe except for the shitty fabrication) how many of these have to break before people realize they are junk?

same thing happened to me. you dont need the reinforcement, you just need to know how to weld. look at the pictures you posted. there is no penetration on the old welds of that V shaped baffle thing. and it looks like he tried to weld it to that thin sheetmetal instead of the actual metal of the muffler. you were smart enough to grind the sheetmetal away to get to something solid to weld to...i did the same thing and havent had an issue since
