Hawk Performance Mufflers!!!

I just picked up a Buell race muffler too. I have been told they are just as deep as my Hawk but a little quieter. I am sure there is a difference in sound between the xb and tubers with a race muffler... single vs dual outlet. I think the tinny sound is from being so free flowing and open. I am no expert but I did fire my bike up with no muffler and its was LOUD and CRACKLEY. Hehehe.

Sorry to get off topic. It's just that the sound I hear is exactly the words you stated. So, I had to ask what you meant. To see if the faint "tinny/rattle" sound is just something with the Buell race muffler or do I have a baffle loose/packing gone ?

I would say the exhaust note is what should have come stock on the Ulysses. JMHO.

Ok, I can hear the same sound in 50dro's Youtube post when he's riding outside on page 32. It is right when he turns around the first time downhill, around 5-8 seconds in of filming.

Just got my Hawk muffler back from Randy. What a guy! This thing sounds mean as hell. Cant wait for warmer weather to take it out.

Yeah randy is a great guy and does excellent work. I've only had a chance to ride my bike a couple times since I put my exhaust on and flashed the race maps. I had a single 3'' outlet put on mine and couldn't be any happier. I was harassed by the police te last time I had it out before it was too cold, the guy told me to try and keep the rpms down in town or I'll get a ticket next time.

Randy got my pipe Saturday and shipped it back to me Monday morning, what a guy. Took it out for a 20 minute freezing cold ride and LOVED it!! now it's snowing

I emailed Randy Friday and he called my cell, 30 MINUTES LATER I said to him "you have been more helpful and informative than HD has ever been". Wow Randy has my vote and with all these positive posts It's not a question of if but when I'll send him my pipe. Does Randy charge a different price for a single stainless pipe vs/ the steel black dual pipe configuration i'm seeing. ECMspy cable on the way from ebay. So am I clear If I do my TPS reset I can then unplug the ECM sent it to Randy and he can remap it for the new exhaust and my K&N air filter. Then just plug and play?

I think randy charges more for the stainless tip, only extra just to pay for the tip itself. He did mine with a 3" single outlet but not a stainless one and didn't charge extra if I remember. Best thing to do is just call and talk to him.

that outlet in black looks pretty good too. Is it three inch diam? I'm surprised not to see Hawk reuse the factory SS tip on his mods? must be too small for the flow he's shooting for?

Looking at getting the hawk for my bike i just acquired 2 days ago! Man I must say the stock exhaust on the 03 xb9r firebolt is sad!! lol HOPE HAWK EXHAUST will resolve this! Im looking loud! lol

Just got mine in the mail today. Put on took for a 20 minute 3000rpm ride then started ripping it about... Awesome. Sound and Power are amazing. Buy one!
