Headlight Problem

So I was out of town for a few days and when I came back I started up my bike and the headlights were no longer working. The other lights are fine, just no headlights. I check the lights fuse and it was blown. I changed it, but it would only run a couple minutes then the fuse would blow again. I thought maybe it was a bad headlight bulb, but when looking at them the filaments appear to be okay. I talked to the Buell service department and they said it is likely a ground problem somewhere, but I am not sure where to start looking or if there are other things I could check. I just don't to pay them $71 an hour to do something I could likely do if I knew where to start looking. Any ideas?

a ground problem would not make your fuse blow, unless it's shorting somewhere.

check the connections & cables.
