Help, just bought Buell Lightning City xb9

At my wits end, just bought second Buell only done 4000 miles on clock 05 plate, lightning city xb9, rode 10 miles engine lamp had started to flash, now refueled at garage and will not start at all, rac are useless, and too make it worse my 1200 cyclone is already in garage problems with that. does any one know what i can do about my lightning is there any checks, guy i brought it off hardly rode it only around town, any one got any ideas? gratefully appreciated

We need some more details. Where do you get your gas? What octane are you using? Are you just seeing a check engine light or is the motorcycle running rough?

i would start by changing the oil, spark-plugs, etc...since it's been standing for a while or insufficiently used.

checking the battery would do any harm, either

hey thanks guys, it does turn over, but just does not start. as it goes it sounds like it wants to fire up!!! but just not having it.......

I just bought a 03 xb9 it started once n0w it just turns over does not start, is there a oil sensor ?
