homemade tail lift

I didnt feel like paying 100 bucks for some subframe spacers so i decided to give it a shot and make my own. It came out pretty good and the seating position feels really nice, Handles the same as before I did this mod. Amazing

Here's how it looks with my trimmed stock ss seat.

and with my urban assault seat.

Here's a pic of the spacer I made. I really dont know how much of a lift it gave it but is definately noticable

I honestly don't know yet. just did it yesterday. I put 30 miles today through some twisty Roads and it did fine

I was thinking of doing something similar. I have an R so the subframe is different.
I would fabricate my spacer out of a solid block of aluminum. I would make it in a way that there is no gap between the frame and subframe. The bracket/spacer would work as a mount between frame and subframe to fill the gap, give the appearance of a solid piece and prevent the subframe from moving under heavy load/stress.

What you're describing is exactly what diesel moto sells, it looks really well made and solid but they don't make it for the ss.

I know there are companies that make the tail lift kits. That is the best option. To buy something professionally machines and manufactured.
However, I'm a cheap bastard and love the frustration of fabricating things from hand.
