As the title says, I want to know how many Buells have you guys fit in an enclosed 6 x 12. Have any tricks to squeezing more in there like putting them in there diagonally etc? Pics would be helpful.

In this case I would like to fit 2 XBS's, an 1125 and a ZX6 (I fully realize this is not a Buell :D ). Am I dreaming??? Can it be done?

This was a 24 foot trailer and we got 6 in and one in the bed of the truck. So I am guessing 3 in ur case. Good luck!

Ahhh...Thanks Red! I remember seeing these pics (and weeping a little)

That looks wider than 6' though right?

the xbs should be able to fit competely sideways in a 6x12 trailer. (ive done it with a uhaul trailer) a ss would probably not fit completely sideways but it would be a small angle. this guy got 4 on an open 6x12. In my head im thinking 2 xbs wedged in completely sideways and the 1125 and zx6 side by side, or however they fit. good luck and take pics

Looks like kona has ur answer. [up]

It may have been 8ft wide ur right. I dont remember though.

Thanks! I've seen those pics Kona. Just not sure it will be as easy in an enclosed trailer with tie downs etc?

The XBS is close to fitting sideways...Here's some overall length dims I was able to find on the net:

XBs: 76.2"
1125R: 78.6"
ZX6 (2006): 79.1"

this is mine in a 6x12 uhaul trailer, this is before it was strapped down and held upright.

Looks possible to me haha otherwise we still have the bed of the pickup it's just a pain to detach trailers to load and unload bikes....regardless we will be at the dragon!!!

Nice pic Kona! Thanks! [up]

Must be shorter than spec with the tail chop! LOL We might be able to shoe-horn them in? Maybe the 2 XB's in the front (one facing each way) and the other 2 bike straight in?

Your bigger challenge may be having enough tie down points for all the straps you'll be using? Guess it depends on the trailer?

Think we might skip the straps and fill the trailer with packaging peanuts! :p That should work right?!?!? LOL

I agree though. 2004XB12S is gonna have a look at the trailer we plan to use soon.

to get tie downs in the uhaul i took out the floor bolts and replaced with forged eye bolts. dont get the bent ones if you end up doing something similar.

packing peanuts [up], hopefully it has a roof vent so its easier to fill. and if you get the edible ones you will have plenty to snack on.

We put a tie strap on the front fork and rear tire of each bike and put them on their kick stands. Then strapped the front bike down to the front hooks. Then strapped the rear one down to the rear floor hooks, its was a car trailer. hope that makes sense, lol. They stayed put for a 8 hour drive, so we must have done something right[up]

Packing peanuts will work better imo.:p
