I went out on backroads and got her to 175 mph all out. I have the EBRacing exhaust, ecm, and full fairing. I was a RUSH!!! Im gonna try and get the balls again and try and video tape it. I have a small camera and may get some buddies with their video cams and have a cop buddy with a radar, if I can get him on a day off. Will try and keep ya'll updated. I have videos of 1/4 mile runs on youtube under 'Buell 1125R 1/4 mile pass 3'.

Wow. So many comments to make yet I feel that none would have any impact. Please tell me you at least had full gear on and not just a helmet and jacket.

oh yeah guys, I get fully suited. I have a one piece leather suit and spinal guard, along with race boots, kill switch, helmet, leather race gloves, etc. I am very careful, lol. I was talkin with my cop buddy who is also a mechanic. My rear wheel is a bit smaller than stock so he is guessing I was only runnin about 170 or so but he can clock me on his day off. Im gonna try and get some video.

'guessing I was only runnin about 170' ahh well thats not quite so bad then ;) only seen 140 on mine, that was round silverstone circuit, about 120 on the road but its just too dangerous in uk to do it:) take it easy man

Just think before you post that video anywhere, especially if your cop buddy can be identified in any way. If it got to the wrong person he could easily lose his job. A lot of people dont think about who looks at videos posted on Youtube and what not. all it takes is one of his supervisors to see it and recognize him/ his car or something.

175. wow, Ive gone like 140 on a snowmobile for grass and asphault drags on a snowmobile, but wow 175 has gotta be insane

I been roughly that fast on my old Ninja, in my car iwould periodically hit 165 never 175 she wouldn't pull that. FYI my car would smoke my bike 0-120 after that, bike wins. Car ( sub sti straight exhaust after market turbo Cobb ecu cold air and surface turbulance valves tons extra! Sold now though :( got a nice truck though;)

Really doubt you actually hit 175mph. I guess everyone seems to forget about the little thing called speedo error.

how long was the road, like 2 miles straight?!
I suspect that you have some serious speedo error. Texas miles time slip had a 1125r going 172mph on the speedo but radar at 166mph. That was a stock bike, stock tire, no mods. When you start changing tire size, you drastically change speedo accuracy. And here you see above the time slip, that Alpha guy had a 17 mph error.

Take your bike somewhere theres some medical crews and safety regs man. Do it legal and smart.

EDIT: On a side note, just watched your video, nice control on that pass.

upthemaiden, are you for real?

I just think getting video proof and documentation to prove you were going 170mph on a public road sounds like a bad idea. I know of kids who have gotten in a ton of extra trouble because they got caught goofing around and video recording it. Once someone got pulled over and the cop found the video camera it got seriously worse than the $150 'reckless driving' ticket they probably would've gotten otherwise.

Not trying to be a downer, I just prefer to do my goofing around where I can't be seen, and it can't be held against me at a later date.

158, measured by my Starlane GPS on the Mugello Circuit with stock exhaust and open filter and stock ecm.

I have an 08 1125R stock and it wont even come close to that. I thought Buells were all low end torque. If I wanted to get close to 200 mph, I'd buy a Busa... but I like playing with my 3 year old son to much for that kind of risk. Can you imagine ripping 175 down the backroads and a raccoon or deer ran out in front of you.
