I bought my BuellXB12 becuase it was different. And loved the way it handled. If total speed is what you are after. The Buell is not for you.I have a Hiyabusa thats a few years old now. And it's more then I can handle. But it's no fun on Angeles Crest or Mulholand. You need to look at a different bike.

i dont know about the rest of you but everytime I show up on my stock '09 Buell I gather a crowd that walk right past even the craziest looking jap bikes. must be my good looks.

i was one who never was interested in wild metric or harley choppers... they never did anything for me ..was always into a stock machine ..or stock with motor work

So, here's a true story about owning the corners...and it's all to do with talent, not the bike...
Ever heard of James Whitham? Check him out on You Tube. I know James personally..and his buddy, a guy called Carl Fogarty (5 times World Superbike Champion). James raced World Superbikes until around 2001.
When James was 18, he raced a 125cc two stroke in England. His mates all laughed at him, until he challenged a real hero on a Honda 900 Fireblade to a 5 lap race on a racetrack in England. The street rider on the Fireblade accepted the challenge.
James won. He pissed all over the 'blade in the corners.
I've ridden for over 20 years. Put me against a real rider on, say, an Aprilia 250 street bike, and I'd look like a real idiot. He would walk all over me. It's about talent, and power to weight, not raw power. Just my humble opinion....

canadaxb thats the way it alway was your right...bike dont make the man...the man makes the bike....Dave balls only gets you through a few turns before you wipe out and die
