Knocking sound, help find it plz

So far I've put 4k on mine, no problem. Last week it wouldn't start. Got it going though. Just yesterday on my way home I could feel the vibration in the lever and faintly hear your same issue. Just now checking it, I have 2 DTCs: B1005 Fuel Level Sender High/Open & P0506 Idle Air Control System - RPM Higher Than Expected. From what I've read the B1005 is an issue that lies in the Instrument Cluster, not in the fuel sender. It even has a superseded part no. Y0500.2AMA rather than Y0500.2AM, and it's a $2XX.XX part because you HAVE to buy it brand new. I've yet to get into the other code, but I'm willing to bet that it has something to do with my no start issue, and probably your idle issue.

why is this bike such a pain?

I don't get too worried about the bike. It was a 1.5 year running bike. There's always a few bugs in the first years of any model of anything. HD just dropped 'em before EVERYTHING could be ironed out. I love this bike, it's a riot. I figure if I can fix the few bugs I'll have a bike that runs for awhile. It's a Rotax.

Ill have to figure something out. I was lucky and when i took it to my friend at his work (HD) his manager allowed him to keep my bike and work on it after hours. So hes already started working on it .

But im thinking hes going to try to charge me a decent amount of money (over 500$ just for labor) cause he has to rotate the engine and he didnt know that. I told him i was quoted 500 totalish from another dealer and that i thought he knew you had to, since you even have to drop the engine to change the spark plugs. We will see what happens.

He said he would look into my issue with the throttle. Also said once he gets it going we can throw it up on the dyno!

Ok guys got the bike back and my friend couldnt find the problem so i have to take it into some stealership.
There is a new rattle and i dont want to deal with the work that needs to be done, so im thinking im just going to sell it and buy another CR if i can find one.
